@@nm2358 core Gindam does use its shield to power up the gin, it's not so much for defense while shooting. The shield even has a camera on it to lock on target better.
I feel the Re:Rise series is going for a play/ action figure kind of thing. I just got into Build Divers recently and it seems to go that way versus just displaying your model. I am a mostly a Universal Century kind of guy but Re:Rise has gotten me hooked.
The connection parts for this kit will definitely help with customization abd painting for kits. I can now separate and reattach the forearm or leg of a kit to paint without having to tape the joints. The shoulder joint will also be helpful for updating shoulder articulation in older kits to be compatible with standard ball joint parts.
If they just release the Core Gundam alone I might actually buy it - all of the expansion armour stuff doesn't tickle my fancy, but the core itself is a super fun and interesting design for a Build MS.
I feel the same way, just so I can pose it next to a "normal" sized Gundam like Zaku did next to RX-78. I will say, though, that I appreciate that the armor can be used as a figurine by itself, so it's not a bunch of weapons/armor/extensions just sitting in a box somewhere! That does give it some bonus points on if I may actually get it!
You're absolutely right About the sell armor seperately thing The first time i hoped that they would do that so i can buy all three armors without buying two more core gundams
@@IchiAriichisanroku it would allow you to display all of them in the armor meaning you can display veetwo earthree and marsfour side by side unless you just plan on displaying the earthree and just having the mars and venus armor in the rider mode.
This one is much more suited to be called Veetwo than the actual Veetwo. I mean, Veetwo is actually a ground-type bombardment unit and it's green. Veetwo should've been called Earthree.
My predictions for the other planet system: Mercuryone: Burst assassin armor Jupefive: Long range support armor Saturnsix: Maybe an alternate or better version of earthree gundam?
I won’t be surprised if Bandai does a a P-Bandai collectors box with all of the armour sets, a Core 1 and the parts to convert the Core 1 to a Core 2. I’d gladly buy that, but it’ll probably be only the armour and the basic weapons from the Uraven and Earthree kits so you’d still need the weapon sets
The Core Gundam by itself is such a fun concept. Still, the Earthree is only around $14. Even if the Core Gundam's all you wanted, for the price you'd also get some great additional material for custom builds. I did that with the leftover chobham armor I didn't use from the HG Alex. Made a pretty neat custom GM out of the extra armor and an HG GM Command Space Use kit. Extra parts you don't want really do a lot to encourage custom builds, especially if you don't care whether or not you mess up those extra parts. You could think of it as a chance to experiment, especially if you can also find a cheap kit to play around with using those extra parts.
The reason the Core Gundam looks weird to people is its oversized head compared to its body. It has a cartoon child's proportions. If you put it (unarmored) next to a 1/144 Crossbone, there's a juxtaposition of how tiny the Crossbone head is, while also having a larger body than the Core Gundam. This thing is more fun and more precious to me than almost all of my RG's (I don't collect larger than 1/144, yet anyway).
I really only like the core gundam itself, all the other stuff looks kinda bland honestly. Just a hodgepodge of kinda random design elements for a kinda-AGE, kinda-00 wishy washy mess of a gundam. On the other hand, I would gladly call the Core Gundam cute. The backpack is a little large and out of place looking, and the weapons are silly, but the core itself is what I'm most interested in
@Clément Arheu Actually what? I can point out 80% of this is uses in universe customized Age 1-3. And the core gundams looks is based on the look of the Rx 78, but it doesn't actually use any RX 78 parts.
I think it's a fun concept. Don't be such a sourpuss. Hopefully we'll get a proper series soon. You're not the only one jonesing for a more traditional Gundam series.
agree with bsoup, albeit I think it does classify as a proper Gundam series, traditional is definitely a better description for what you're looking for 🥰
