it's definetely an issue calling these "sustainable", when the blades are not easy to get hold of. And yeah, that is where the name comes from. Their idea is that you replace the blade when it wears out instead of the whole nipper. But I guess they forgot that regular nippers can be resharpened... Anyway, I randomly check a couple of places that sell these and they have been out of stock since launch... Also, during the many years I've built gunpla/plamo I haven't really broke or worn out many nippers. Only one pair that started to chip on me, but it was also my first nippers when I started out, so probably didn't know what I was doing - or a bad batch. Also not a fan of them mixing type of screw in this. Why not just use the same screw head type? Would probably save them some money to not having to include two tool bits. (The "star" wrench is called torx, they are very common so not an issue if you loose the included one...) Also from other reviews the metal part that clamps down on the blade can be in the way for people who likes to flush cut in certain angles - in case someone reading is an avid user to do that. The chipping you're seeing could be from not having adjusted them before use, if the sharpened blade gets forced into the unsharpened blade chipping can happen.
Oh man! I’m so excited for when you’re finished this kit so I can get your full review. As someone who completely colour changed all the weapons and doing a lot of detail painting on the Gojulas ogre. It’s taken me almost 3 months so far… so much work. So worth it!
Oh man, I forgot to order the lfrith production type. It was going to be my first p bendai but then a lot of shit came up and it dropped by the wayside. Honestly, I’m probably not financially in a place where I should be ordering p Bendai anyways
You could attach the skirt via a spring that went all the way around kinda the wasist like a belt like the pg zaku 2 head pipe section but you attach the skirt armor on the spring sides via tubes on the back of the skirt armor it would work pretty well
What's the mix of PS/ABS/metal/other materials here? It's always helpful when you talk about them, since it helps making decisions about what to get if I'm wondering about how I'll be painting them and want to mitigate interactions.
8:30 IIRC Gundam is less an ace title & more a line of machine models in G-Witch. The only gundam derived MS are the Gundvölva & Gundnode which are specifically unmanned accessories to the gundams which can utilize GUND format to control them. So techincally, the pre‐production model can be considered the grunt branch of the line. Although, that may also extend to the proper Lfrith, since it seems the Calibarn was more intented to be their ace machine. On top of its extreme 20 year old specs that rival the Aerial Rebuild even in the present day, the fact it has a V-fin that the Lfrith line lacks heavily implies this too.
Rg has essentially cannibalized the mg market. The biggest issues for mg is size, and price. Space is at a premium especially for those living at an apartment. Even if you don’t a mg kit is harder to find a space for. The second issue is the price essentially anything under $50 psychologically isn’t too much of a big deal. Anything over $50 or over $100 is a huge asking price. Essentially the choice is 1 mg or 4-5 hg’s. So if your bandai with new customers the last thing you want to do is scare them away due to the price.
Imagine having all kits featurinc this kind of aethetics, body contours and articulation, would be an awesome kit aside from having great panel lined details offered by RG/MG kits!
ive been into gundam for about 4 months but ive built 12 kits. this GM is by far my favorite purely by vibe. its so simple but gives off an awesome classic MGS anime feeling
can confirm, you can use all the original Lfrith parts with this kit (so long as you don't put on the sticker on the chest). Personally I used all the original lfrith parts because I think the antenna are nicer and I like the white-blue color for the "chest vents" more than the dull greenish yellow. Even got a spare printed active shell piece for it since I liked it so much
Glad you’re doing a review for Neverlia, it’s my personal favourite of the 30MS line because of the articulation alone an it’s criminal not many people have made videos discussing her
I just heard about this kit and instantly came to your channel looking for a review. After your thorough review I decided to buy this kit! I hope this company releases more stuff. Looks like they're making quality stuff
