You are killing it with these reviews. You clearly are putting a lot of effort into them and it shows. Some of the best reviews I have seen. The video work is excellent too! Nothing to complain about here at all. Thanks for putting these out for us.
Thank you for the awesome encouragement! Shooting and putting the stuff together does take way longer than it seems :') But I do care deeply about content that respects viewers and I really do love models and talking about them so I'll definitely keep making more videos!
Thank you so much. It really is encouraging to have more people find value in this form of video that I believe strongly in:) And yes, I played around with that runner for quite a bit even off camera
I'm really happy that bandai has been pumping out bigger kits! From Hathaway's Flash, back to Zeta with the Baund Doc, to Gundam Sentinel with the MKV. Now we get this thing and it's frankly great! A tiny part of me is hoping we get the Psycho Gundam MK-II or the Big Zam at 1/144 scale. Even though that might be asking too much -_-
@@HobbyClubhouse Frankly I'd be excited for the Psycho Gundam MK-II to continue filling up Zeta and ZZ stuff. Frankly more ZZ stuff like the Geymalk, the Hamma Hamma, and the very odd Jamru Fin! Even though it's on the small side. However, I'd also be extremely satisfied with the Big Zam seeing as it's the BIG ZAM.
Great and informative video. I notice that the beam effect parts for the RG Sazabi's has the exact same problem as the HG Nightingale, they where designed for the Sinanju.
@@HobbyClubhouse Sorry for the confusion, Bandai uses the RG Sinanju's beam effects for the RG Sazabi. I wonder now if the MG Sazabie uses the MG Sinanju's effect parts. 🤔
It's incredible how many gimmicks and color separated parts they shoved into this beast. Awesome review man, I loved all of the comparison shots! Really gets across the sense of scale!
Seriously this kit is amazing, looks like the cockpit gimmick that the RG Wing should have was donated to this Nightingale. I really love the overall quality that you bring on your reviews, keep up the good works!
man this review is something else, im sad that this channel dont upload anymore, i just found it now T_T, by far the best gunpla review channel i've found
Thank you so much! Sadly the design quirks of the RE/100 kit can be quite hard to ignore once you notice them. It's kind of a rare kit though and isn't reprinted often so the big guy's a nice collector's item still:)
Ok......you know what? I still like the RE/100 a lot proportionaly but I definitely agree those thrusters look way too tiny and those binders arent in the best of positions. Id never seen art of the nightingale before, only the Re/100 kit and on its own merits it still looks pretty awesome imo but the hguc definitely looks more accurate. I also didnt like this hguc in pictures.....but seeing it here being manipulated etc really changed my mind, this really seems like an all round awesome kit. I wasnt bothered by the lack of gimmicks on the Re/100 but yeah its undeniable that its better with em :P You didnt completely dissuade me from liking the old RE/100 though haha. I still like it with all of its sins even if have to admit this one is better :) Really surprised by how close the penelope comes in size btw, did not realize it and the nightingale were similarly sized. Thanks for the great informative review as usual :)
This proves you're truly a fan of the RE/100 kit and not simply swept up by it simply being a model of the Nightingale:) I think it was also largely seamless, which is really crazy when it's so much bigger. And it's actually only a few hundred yen more than this kit so they really had to fit a lot into a tight budget Glad you enjoyed the review, as usual:)
@@HobbyClubhouse appreciate the reaction^^ Yeah, I just love modelkits in general haha, dont *really* care what media they are from etc most of the times :).....I mean, im interested in where they come from, the lore, history etc, sure. And I can be curious if the modelkit looks like whatever it looked like in its original media too. But its not really part of the purchasing decision to me. I just as hapily buy kits from stuff I have no interest in if the kit is awesome, like hmm zoids. Or hexagear which are straight up original designs by kotobukiya. Or old "bad" kits to put next to new kits to marvel at the advancements the people in the injection molding industry have made.
you know what. with them doing som Beltorchika's Children disigns. i hope thay go back and do the first versions from high streamer. atleast nu and sazabi. thos are so out there and i love them.
Bandai has a strange love-hate relationship with the novel and its designs. They really want to pretend it doesn't exist, but the Nightingale and Hi-Nu are too crazy popular
Thanks for adding the dimensions of this behemoth haha! I was looking for those since I'm REALLY scared it won't fit on my char hg shelf space 😂 . May I ask, what action base you used at the end? Is it stable on that?
That was an Action Base 1 and surprisingly it holds up the Nightingale really well. I know what you mean for the size, I tried sticking it in my cabinet display and the giant butt wouldn't fit no matter what...
@@HobbyClubhouse haha yeah I know the feeling. I think it will fit on top of my cabinet where I placed all my char hg kits (like the sazabi you reviewed :) ) . But i may have to keep nightingale airborne to make things work....gonna be tight 😂
he finished the kit 3 hours. for me i might be able to finish two leg parts of this kit. lol. crazy fast. about paint job, use those spray paints in walmart would result the same if you do it correctly. i sprayed my motocycle oil tank, fiber part, plastic part. they look fine for 3years now thru rain and dust. i did apply some spray paint to gunpla kit and they look fine. way easier than hand paint. 👋
I have seen some people display the Funnels with Bandai’s Figurise Jet Effect set, the same ones that come with the RG Nu Gundam Funnel Effect set, so I assume they were designed to work with that line specifically. It’s quite a bummer that those funnels won’t work with the usual 3mm connections now but the Figurise Effect line does carry some amazing and fairly priced display options so I suggest you check some of them out if you got the budget
The instructions even specifically says the Hi-Nu is equal to the Nightingale in abilities, and yeah, I'm not sure how that works either... the Neo Zeon engineers might have something to say about that
@@HobbyClubhouse Well I mean... the Hi-Nu DID win after all. So maybe there's something to be said about it. But still, LOOK AT THAT THING!!! I wouldn't be surprised it Unicorns Shamblo was somewhat inspired by this thing! IT'S FUCKING HUGE!!!
I think their head height should be quite close and fore sure the size will fit. The head and hands might look a bit tiny next to an MG kit, but maybe it's not super noticeable
Back then when I first saw how that dummy arm was a separate piece, I thought Bandai might release an options set later on that added functional arms, but sadly that never happened
