Congrats on the truck properly yours! Love your vids and the talking, you've a great sense of humour too! Loved the music at the end of the vid during the time lapse. Btw - it shows you're human when mistakes are included, and everyone makes them!
Scott it’s really great to see you & how it is. Don’t be embarrassed, this is what trucking life is all about. Not always easy as people think. Thank you for being a genuine guy. Had this been Luke’s video he would have cut that part out 😂😂😂 just kidding Luke. But cheers Scott great vlogg
Waiting for my truck to be serviced today at the Daf agent, so whilst I’m sitting in the nonevto comfortable rest room I pic up a copy of “Daf driver” magazine. Whilst flicking through who should I spot but your good self!!! And to top it all you won the Daf driver challenge. Top man mate well done to yourself have lots of man points on my behalf. Hope to see you at P ‘boro this weekend 👍👍👍
Thank you Scott. Really enjoyed your video. Love your committee. Great to listen to as well Enjoy your weekend at Truckfest Looking forward to your next video. Take care and stay safe. John Whitehouse
I love drivers like you you actually go a safe speed on these roads I drive a lot on a82 witch is very tight and bendy and loads of lorry drivers drive way to fast round corners they tailgate and sit on the white line even though they see me coming in a coach
I heard a story in 2019 about logging lorry drivers on A82 and how they where betting how many coach mirrors they could hit... Till one coach drivers dash cam caught one fella out all the coach companies effected calmed off the said logging company for damages
@@Deiseboi the company i work for and another one near me, all mirrors that get knocked of are generally becsue if lorrys and the lorry company always have to pay for are repairs. Its quite bad really we get thought when approaching large vechle on a tight road u move over to the left, dont know why its so difficult to do, I drive coaches only 3ft less in length so there isn't no excuse
@@matthewboothman129 i did Scotland only for one season and only did the A82 twice.. On one tour i turned a corner there was hgv coming.. I moved over and stop.. His rear end bent my side mirror by window in and shattered the window.. Then he drove off.
@@matthewboothman129 i am in the process of becoming a artic driver... Lol have ridged test in 5 days...then on to artic... COVID-19 no tour driving here in Ireland
Hi Scott, I really enjoyed this Vlog, Your editing is brilliant, just enough road footage and good music (sorry I'm not judging 😊) it's just that I know how hard it is to produce a good Vlog... Don't worry mate, we all take a wrong turn now and then, we all learn by our mistakes & believe me you never know it all, I've been at it 40yrs & still learning & I've screamed approaching a bridge many times 😲 😊 Bless you mate, furthest north Cumbria, the furthest I've been is Muonio, Arctic Circle that was one of the best trips ever....Anyway I'm waffling now, keep up the good work, take care...10-10 good buddy 👍.... Btw did you get a nose bleed...Sorry 😊👍⛟💨💨
Thanks Steve, Didn't quite get a nose bleed this time haha. Trip to the Arctic circle sounds like an adventure! Appreciate the kind words, say hi to Angie for me :)
I think (if my mis-spent emo years serve me well) the song was Bullet For My Valentine - Suffocating Under Words Of Sorrow. Definitely sounds like the opening riff of it. Scott, we love your jabbering mate! You're always so animated and lively and light hearted, and your accent is milk for the ears, beautiful! Wish I was going to Truckfest P'bro to meet you and the rest of the Road Legends but alas, me and the other half have decided to save up this year instead. Keep doing what you're doing mate, and jabber on!!!
Scott Andrews indeed, I’m sure there will be. You should come visit us in Sheffield proper someday rather than near-ish to beighton, which is more Chesterfield than Sheffield to be fair 😂 witter on you wonderful welsh warbler! 🚚
If you set that airbag off just by patting the steering wheel, my bollocks will fall off from laughter! Oh and, hats off for sorting out the wrong turn and thought the song was Livewire: Motley Crew?
Would that of been 2 minutes to midnight by iron maiden? Really enjoying the vids Scott, I'm taking the plunge into to lorry driving after 10 years on the coaches, looks like a far better life
@@ScottAndrews do you think it's worth been a owner / operator in the uk ... I ask as I have a bit of money saved. Enough to get o licance and a used tuck (10k) I dunno where I would put it on the weekend though ... it would be nice to have some one talk about it on there videos. Not a lot or info out there .
last vid said you were rubbish at reversing, doing a 500m one here proves that is so wrong. That m62 bit with the sunrise and the farm was beautiful can you start listing songs used in the description? loved Disposition by sightless in shadows proper fitted that beautiful footage
I came across your channel after the reference in Truck and Driver in the article on your new truck. Liking the videos so far. I'm just starting out in driving HGVs, only class 2 thus far; although late in life for me, I reckon you're never too old to learn something new. Any tips for newbies?
Not as bad as the A483 but A482 has some sharp bends as well Dosent it. You know that small bridge with the shape corner at the end outside Llanwrda heading Lampeter direction I remember about 12 years ago 2 arctics went head on into each other on that corner just over the bridge
A lot of farm lanes aren't! I remember one near Ulverston in Cumbria where I joked to the farmer that I'd have to sell him my Stralis and 13.6mt trailer and thumb a lift home because it was so difficult to turn round in his yard.
Newer viewer...Whereabouts are you based, if you can answer that? I'd just be curious to know where the better areas for jobs. Do love the scenery where you are. Peugeot 205. They're supposed to be decently reliable for what they are. Wouldn't mind a diesel one of them. "you shouldn't be down 'ere" folk are always helpful. I did something very similar near Stevenage, went down a lane and immediately knew it was wrong. Thought at the time that I couldn't reverse back onto a dual carriageway (although that would've probably been quicker and easier!!) and got told by a van driver that I could get out at the bottom as it went to another single carriageway. Road was about two miles long...Took me about an hour to get down it. Loads of cars had to move out the way and I had planned to turn right at the end of it to somehow find the A1 to then come back in another way. I was delivering to a farm and took the turned right down this lane which was about 200 yards away from the turn that I wanted for the farm. The people at the farm saw me do it, and phoned up our customer service department to get them to tell me. So anyway, got to the end where the crossroads were and couldn't turn right because all the cars that I'd forced out of the way were parked in my way. Had to turn left, no problem I thought I'll find a wide enough junction to turn around on, or a roundabout. 40 minutes later when I was almost at Luton found the first roundabout. Somewhere that was only an hour from our depot took me almost four hours to get to. Live and learn. They've not sent me there since, and I'm not the first one of our drivers to make that mistake.
Your accent reminds me of great holidays around Swansea, down the Mumbles and Langland Bay. My mother was from FForestfach, My father from Just outside Wrexham he was a farm boy, the farm is now run by my cousin. Do you speak Welsh??
Morotways no no no, that’s road are more pleasure to drive than motorways yeah they slower but hell love country road even with MAN :) keep rolling man:)
I feel for you going in to that firing range. I had my worst day driving taking a 50 ton tank up there. If I make Peterborough I will tell you all about it 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Scott Andrews Nice one, I’m a brand new class 1 driver today was my first day, I’m hoping this trucknav will keep me right but I’ve not used it yet. Do u have any tips for reversing onto a bay? I’m kind of struggling and it’s very frustrating.
I have one, they're decent, and a good price, but have let me down a couple of times... Once in Neston (low bridge) which was horrible as I was new to class one, and then again in Norfolk (low bridge, again) luckily a helpful bloke drove past and told me a place to turn around. So use it, but not blindly... Been doing class one for about 10 months, I now only use Google maps, but plan my route beforehand as much as possible, stick to main roads as close as they can take you to your drop. Reversing gets easy after some months, don't worry, it's all practice mate, if you can practice in a yard definitely do it, I did a collection at a bakery today which was very tight, maybe tightest place I've been, which would've freaked me out not long ago.
I once went down a 6ft6 width road for about a mile then got to a zig zag bridge and there was no way my rig was going over it. 🤣😂🤣😂😂 I checked my map only to find I should of come in from the over way. I then had to reverse all the way back as there was no were to turn round. I had a 65tone Dozer on lucky a police car came down the same road and helped. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂😂🤣🤣
Good video, but you gotta lower the volume on the music, it's too loud compared to your speaking. Sounds like I'm having a party every time the music cuts in
Hyia Scott fantastic video a music well gan i clywed ti yn siarad achoss mae sense of humour yn fantastic ac yn funny hefyd, bob amser yn edrych yn mlaen i gweld ti 😁😁👌👌👌👍👍🏴

Actually, just having found out how old you are, I'm not too far off being old enough to be your grandmother 😨. Still an 18 year old rock chick in my head though 😂
