One night at Cafe Sistina, I think Fiji was there but what I clearly remember was Sistah Robi and Bryan Kessler were in the house, sat in singing Love and Honesty. I'll never forget it. So fine!
Song #3: Love and Honesty 🎤👨🎤👩 🎵Brown skin, light brown eyes, Golden hair from sunny skies A haunting smile, a fresh Pikake lei Soft touch, a warm embrace Tears of joy, they run down my face I think of you every single day. There's more to life than getting by There's times in life to really try My love for you really made me see I won't give up, won't lose my dreams Your being there, is everything And I promise you love and honesty Sunset, moonrise Calming seas under balmy skies A walk with you beneath the whispering trees We laughed so much our throats were dry And shared our hearts teary eyed Let this night remind us there's a way There's more to life than getting by There's times in life to really try My love for you really made me see I won't give up, won't lose my dreams Your being there, is everything And I promise you love and honesty (HAWAIIAN) He makana no na mamo Na mó olelo O na pua O nehinei E pili mau I na kupuna na lei à àla I Ohu mau I kù u lei I ke aloha pili mau There's more to life than getting by There's times in life to really try My love for you really made me see I won't give up, won't lose my dreams Your being there, is everything And I promise you love and honesty I promise you love and honesty I promise you love and honesty🎵🌺💞
Watching this in 2020 during the COVID-19 quarantine. Sistah Robi’s voice was so unique. Right up there with Willi K, Fiji, Amy Hanaiali’i. She still rockin’ it in Waikiki.
Love and Honesty, honestly I'm in love with this song. Im going to download it off iTunes over and over and over again. Thank you for Love and Honesty, its my favorite five everZse!!!!
Yes it was. I was in the army out in Kuwait during Desert Storm. And what kept me sane and inspired to get back home to my Island home were music from my homeland. And the HSB were one of the important cassette tapes I’d listen to out there. I had Hui Ohana, Uncle Led Kaapana and uncle Dennis Pavao’s solo recordings, Aunty Genoa Keawe, Gary Haleamau, Ohana Serenaders and Hawaiian Style Band in heavy rotation when I could use my Walkman. 😁 So, when I did come back home in ‘93, I went on a mission to catch all those artists in shows in Waikiki, or wherever they were gigging at, to listen to their music live. But, MAINLY to thank them all for their gift of music. And, yes....(sorry, your short answer made long 😬😃)... they were amazing live. I had a mad crush on Sistah Robi back then. Her voice was sooooo sweet too. Not much has changed from her singing. Have seen her many times in the last few years. And, man, she can still bring it🤙🏾 Aloha brother! Stay safe🤙🏾
