Six months ago the legendary underground duo of Thes One & Double K, better known as People Under The Stairs, made it's 7 year return to Vancouver, playing a sold out show in Chinatown at Fortune Sound Club. HHVtv teamed up with the homies at Yeti in the Basement to sit down with PUTS in a hotel lobby in downtown Vancouver just hours before the show. We talked about everything from the groups inception to crazy tour stories and the current state of LA hip hop. Check out the ten minute interview and stay tuned to HHVtv.

RIP to P-Funk's hip-hop ambassador. Kid Drunkadelic. Double K. Big Mike. Mike Turner 1977-2021. I credit O.S.T. for getting me back into hop-hop back in 2010. PUTS was the gateway that got me to discover a ton of new jazzier, funkier, and positive vibe centered hip-hop. It's been a sec since I was bumpin them on the regular but best believe that today the silence will be cut up by Double K.

R.I.P Double K,a real genuine chilled kl dude,I had the pleasure of sharing a few minutes & a spliff with him & another 2 random Edinburgh heads when he & Thes 1 rocked Edinburgh’s Bongo club around 2005 give or take a year.PUTS WERE INCREDIBLE live,they had that pure true skool hip hop energy!

These guys sound nothing like any other modern rapper out there (no disrespect for brother Ali), their music actually sounds like hip hop, not trap or whatever.

Thanks for an upload, but that was one shitty interview... nothing about last release, nothing about future release, touring plans, side projects etc. PUTS fan will get nothing out of it. And these guys have been aroud for over a decade now and have fans all over the world.
