@@FrancoRossel It is amazing that Tango made this. It feels so unlike them. Being they made The Evil Within (1 and 2), Ghostwire: Toyko, Hero Dice (never heard, and it is a Mobile game so can see why), and Hi-Fi Rush. Talk about a studio that was done being serious. Decided to do something goofy for a change. I can respect that.
I cannot explain how hyped this segment got me when I realised that invaders must die had just started playing. Like. As someone who absolutely adores the Prodigy, and this song in particular, I felt unstoppable hitting pretty much every single note perfectly on the beat while comboing off of enemies and getting some of the highest scores I had in the entire game. If they ever make a sequel or dlc for this game there had better be another section which goes as hard as this, cos I don't think I've had this much fun with a videogame in years.
Haven't played it yet, but when I saw "songs from The Prodigy" on the store page, I KNEW this was the song they were gonna use, that's how I found this video.
@@seisosimp I don't think a lock on system would be good, considering dashing and swapping is core gameplay. Also, they already have a soft lock-on anyways, as long as you stay in your attack combo you will automatically keep hitting they guy you are on. Fucking IGN
I was really tired after Mimosa fight as I felt it so hard because of air combos and small attack phases, and then I heard this. It was really like The Second Wind.
@@sauceyvirg1n910most fights can be won easily by spamming companions if we're being honest. X,Y,Y for whatever survives, X,Y,X for when you're surrounded, Hibiki when you just can't be bothered, Pick Me Up when low on health. I basically beat the entire game with this strategy
Bro we need more goofy games like hi fi rush bro because I can bet there's no realistic looking game that can capture the same hype as this moment right here with the perfect music and badassery of all the players knowledge simultaneously
I don’t think a realistic looking game can even do the ‘hero lands in the mess hall while all the minions are eating’ scene without it looking completely dumb.
I was enjoying the game even though I wasn't great at it, then this song came on and I swear something clicked. This game is insane when you actually start hitting those combos
This game is just like NSR: No Straight Roads but with that classic old cartoony feel from out childhood. The simple, cool art style, colors that just pop, character designs that looking unique and detailed. Man, wish I could play this.
This game is No Straight Roads on steroids. While NSR stages are to the beat and music, literally EVERYTHING in Hi-Fi Rush from Chai's idle animations to everything in the bacground is to the beat. No Straight Roads walked so Hi-Fi Rush could run.
As someone who was getting strong Scott Pilgrim vibes and enjoying the game almost as much as I enjoy that series and movie, when this came on I felt like they were thinking the same thing...
When this song kicked in, I was thinking “here I thought the enemy may have home field advantage… turns out I was the one who had the advantage. 😈😈😈” hearing this song in the game I was *PUMPED* *UP*
As a Prodigy fan, I see this is as an absolute win, modern games these days just don’t have good bangers like this.. Rip Keith Flint. I bet he’d be proud that this amazing game has this song in it.

I am beyond hyped that this excellent song finally got to be a solid backing track for a good piece of media. It absolutely works wonders as a hype track.
What’s even funnier, is that it’s explained that the robots compost whatever they eat. So my guess is that when the humans are done eating, the robots come in, cook up whatever’s about to expire, and just eat it. It’s a silly joke, but they actually went to the trouble of making it part of the game’s universe.

The funny thing is that even tho the track is invigorating and encouraging us to let Hell break loose - it is Chai and his crew who are invaders. Thus it doesn't play for us, but for cafeteria personell.
I swear I had the BIGGEST, DOPIEST grin on my face the second I heard the opening bars of Invaders Must Die. You bet your butt I S-Ranked that entire sequence, all while laughing myself silly with pure unbridled glee!
Invaders Must Die fits in so many games, not just Hi-Fi and WipEout. The lyrics work for Halo and Duke Nukem, while the actual song is great for arena shooters like Quake and Dusk
It was actually at this point that I realized just how badly I was playing the game up to this point because while I liked the music, I wasn't really syncing with it as much as I should, but when this song came on I couldn't help but to sync my attacks better with it just because of how much I love this song.
I’m glad Xbox shadow dropped that game because Sunset Overdrive was an excellent game that was overshadowed by a lot of Xbox negativity. This game is fun, beautiful, charming, & outright amazing. This is definitely a GOTY contender & I encourage anyone to just give it a try.
This whole segment had me so hyped and in the moment, with the fattest smile on my face. The rest of the level being backed by it was a great touch too.
This video is the thing that finally convinced me to buy Hi-Fi Rush and play it myself, but above all, it's the thing that got Invaders Must Die stuck in my head for weeks after watching. I didn't care- I loved it, and I've rewatched this over and over since then, revisiting that initial spark that led me to discover one of my favorite games ever. Thank you for posting.

Learned this was a thing while watching a stream, and DAMN did I have to see it for myself. He had streamer mode on, which had a very similar original track going, but WOW.
The moment I recognised the track in this segment, I ripped my headphones from the controller and flipped the volume on my sound system to MAX, vibrating my entire apartment. 🤘
