0:27 Chai's arm isn't broken, btw. Chai is a canonically disabled character. The creators themselves said that, since he was born, his arm never really worked properly. Which is exactly why he got the Project Armstrong arm. It wasn't to kickstart his rockstar career by getting popular with a cool robot arm, it was because without it, he literally could not play guitar. Cool-ass detail. It's also heavily implied that he isn't actually confident, but acts over-confident to hide the fact that he's insecure. As the game goes on, he acts less confident because he realized that he has friends that don't care about his insecurities. It's also lightly implied & theorized that his arm never really working properly is one of those reasons he's insecure.

It was extremely bold of Microsoft and Bethesda to shadow drop a game of the year contender

J went from "THIS GAME IS SO GOOD!!!" to "I HATE PEPPERMINT" and then ended with "KORSICA WHDUFBSUFHSUFBSIHR" and we can all see why he likes her

Its sad to know its super easy to tell if a game actually has work done on it and not a cookie cutter template like most games are now

not gonna lie the best part of this game is the fact that the characters grow with the story chai and pepper hate each other but eventually learn to respect another, and even on an individual level chai becomes less self-centered and pepper learns to be more vulnerable

This game truly is a masterpiece. It felt more to me like God of War 3 instead of DMC.

I honestly like Peppermint's design, and don't really understand why people don't. I don't see anything immediately wrong with her design.

Hi Fi Rush has become one of my favorite games of all time and watching JFJ play through it live was a blast

The main difference I see between this and DMC is that DMC wants you to let loose with combos, and the music is the reward. This game wants you to follow the rhythm of the music, and rewards you based on that.

Yo J, go back after beating it you can customize characters looks and if you replay missions you can unlock special areas along with some after game content.

The funny think about J's one complaint with the game and its cooldowns it that theres actually a way to get around them. Most special moves tend to break shields and Peppermint's Cannon Spike and can break multiple shields and Macaron's Love Tap breaks most Z-Shielding instantly and has a shorter cooldown that a normal summon. Either way it was cool to see J enjoy himself with whats my game of the year so far

I'm so happy you got to experience what has easily become one of my absolute favorite games of all time. If I may make a suggestion, replay this game on your own time with Streamer Mode off. Every Boss Song, as well as a few stage songs (the lead-up to CNMN's epic moment, the cafeteria scene, etc) are replaced with licensed songs, and they are fantastic. You have songs like Lonely Boy (by the Black Keys) as the intro song, Invaders Must Die is the song in the cafeteria scene, and Kale's boss fight? The Perfect Drug, by Nine Inch Nails. Absolutely a treat to experience.

I have never been so proud to have watched a stream series. Glad I was there live🎉
