When 2:51 kicked in after I cleared the room with a huge combo and then I was parrying lasers to the beat of the music before another wave, the game somehow sold itself for like the 20th time in a row, I was constantly like "okay NOW this is the best game- wait *NOW* it's the best game"
I can see and hear Chai dashing to this song and Macaron charging up a punch. This song left a lasting impression on me and proceeded to get stuck in my head for ages! Edit: It's confirmed, this is now my favourite song from the game
This is one of my favorite tracks in the game; I especially love how it switches between so many styles (classic guitars, groovy bongos, high-energy guitar shredding) and still always feels like one coherent piece of music. The composers crushed it here (and everywhere else in the game).
Something interesting about this game is how much the soundtrack affects the player's performance. Like, I was consistently hitting more notes with this song due to how noticeable the drums are here.
I know that feeling. When I got to Stage 10 and „invaders must die“ started playing, I went completely nuts with my combos. Song that make the beats stand out make it easier to stay on rhythm while energetic songs really improve your combo game.
Fr. I just finished the museum stage and I always felt off beat. I mean the ost is a banger but Halls of History just didnt stick it as a fast paced ass kicking track
2:51 It was at this point I knew that I was playing a 10/10. I was hitting Parries, Dodging perfectly. Just finished a room and then he goes “Turned down the lights.” Aii bet, bring it….
My favourite song of all the unlicensed tracks; the battle theme variant kicks ass. Really makes me feel like a badass smashing bots with my guitar, pulling off launchers, stringing jam combos together, overkilling enemies, then magnet linking to the next to do it all over again.
3:41 This little percussive downtime is probably my favourite bit. I'm not a percussion player myself, but I always stimmed by doing similar kinda things, be it on my desk, on the controller, anything I can get my hands on to make sounds from, and this part really is fun to play with.
