I think it had to do with the team leaving after Hifi rush was done.

So many rumors.. The heavy one was that Tango pitched Hi-Fi Rush 2 to Microsoft shortly after the awards. They wanted a bigger crew for it and I guess that was asking for, too much...? Idk, just so many mixed rumors.
