@xbox Had great fun watching this, so must be even better to play. All of Whirring & an arse kicking CAT 🐱 called 808 for the win ❤️ #hifirush #action #trailer #xbox
The moment the lyrics kicked in during the first fight is one of the most emotionally impactful moments I've ever experienced in a game, thank you all so much for the experience.
When I first started the game, I expected something similar to Sunset Overdrive; a bombastic adventure that would make me laugh at the absurdity of everything. Of course it made me laugh, but it left me invested in all the characters, they're growth and how much they've grown to depend on each other. When the lyrics and instrumentals kicked in, with everyone helping Chai get through the stage, it actually made me smile and feel a bit emotional. Hi-Fi Rush will hold a special place in my heart now as a notable game that had passion behind it when passion has started to grow more muddled in the gaming industry as time has passed.
I completely agree I felt the same way when I reached this point of the game I can happily say this one of the best games I have played of all time, the characters are so loveable ❤
I'm glad to see someone else comparing this game to Sunset Overdrive. IMO, the vibes are very similar, and the gameplay is as well, minus the rhythm aspect in HFR. My gf isn't much of a gamer, but she's loving this game so far, and I'm hoping to use Sunset Overdrive as the next stepping stone of getting her into gaming 😂
I've loved them for a long time, I was stoked to see them in the list and more so when the game took off because I was hoping some of the people who played the game might also become fans. Welcome, welcome. Allow me to recommend Austere and The Greatest Light Is the Greatest Shade if you haven't heard them already.
This moment actually made me start crying. In a good way! Just...the gang, all together. They’ve been through so much, separate and joined. The end of the road is in sight, but they’re still ready to kick ass. Chai coming into his role as the heart of the team. They all have each other’s backs. Everyone gets the chance to shine, even-especially-CNMN. The era is ending, but there’s no tears, only smiles and hope. It has been literal years since a game made me feel like this. Made me fall in love with characters like this. And the gentle indie-pop ballad lends itself perfectly. Even typing this up I’m crying again. I never wanted this game to end, but every song’s got to, right. Hi-Fi Rush is the game we all needed. It feels like a reward for enduring all the AAA laziness, mtxs, NFT bullshit, and all the other nonsense so far. A love letter to an era we can ever truly get back, but *damned* if they didn’t try. I love this game so fucking much~
Coming here after the news, this game made me feel like a kid in the late 90s/early 2000s all over again and reminded me how beautiful gaming can be, really sad to see that there will never be a sequel thanks to corporate greed who only wanted another soulless cash cow, fuck you Microsoft for taking rareware and now this game from us.
Congratulations on getting your *awesome* music into this sublime game! 🎉i was hyped to see The Joy Formidable advertised in the trailer. This game celebrates good music in such a fun way.👏
This was my first time playing this game and my first time hearing this song and it just struck me right in the heart that I just had to let my tears out. What a fantastic game for a new year.
More games need to do it honestly. Good music isn't something you can just throw money at and conjure from thin air. There are some really, really good artists, especially orchestral composers, who make really good original music for games, but most big games from big studios just have really forgettable soundtracks. There's a whole world of banging music to draw from, and if you have some decision makers with good musical taste in your company, the licensing costs are well worth having a soundtrack that people won't forget.
this song makes me cry happy tears i dunno why this game literally made this song just an amazing moment in my life, i fucking love the atmosphere and just knowing your about to be the bad guy and everyone is there and you made it here, and jesus this is the most uplifting moment in this entire game i love it, i love this game.
The gimmick of the game, is that everything revolves around the beat, playing to the beat deals bonuses like extra damage in fights, jumping higher, and 3 dodges when you dodge on beat
Got this game is so freakin awesome. The soundtrack is insanely fun, and this song goes so emotionally hard when you're playing this final level. Love this game.
Just finished this game, the finale of this is one of the only things in recent years that made me feel like a kid again enjoying games for the first time, just the pure joy and fun and passion all culminating an an artistic masterpiece that just branded itself onto my mind forever. Thank you Tango and thank you TJF for your contribution.
In a game filled with perfect music choices, the penultimate level has the MOST PERFECT pairing. I was overjoyed when experiencing this for the first time, it was magic, it touched my soul and made me feel butterflies. I played this level again as soon as I was able to, and it was just as incredible as the first time.
Stayed up late playing this about 5:30 AM playing the final level, when this son kicks in. Iv never had so much fun on a final level. Hi Fi Rush the the blue prints of how to make a full game that's fun with a complete ending.
Every time I play this level it makes me get emotional, the song could not have fit better. The first time I got to this stage and this music kicked in, i legitimately got teary-eyed!! so good
Your song really made this scene. Also, because of it I checked out some of your other stuff and just bought The Big Roar off of iTunes. I’m absolutely loving it. Your live performances also really really good.
From creating a masterpiece to shutting down .I can’t believe it to this day. Thank you Tango for letting us play your wonderfully crafted art of a game.
Fair play to ye's, what a tune, when this kicked in I started smiling more and I didn't stop till the game was done. I will be checking out your other work for sure but this is a tune or a mood both really I guess. Going on the comfort tune rotation for a long time.
Hi-Fi Rush is truly the most refreshing game I've played in years! It just came out of nowhere and took me on a wild ride! I hope that this marks the start of a video game renaissance, where the audience comes first. 💙
Honestly, seeing the whole family together and hearing Whirring after such a great scene with Chai had me crying tears of joy and I nearly died XD tears in my eyes with an old beauty in my ears my god
I beat the game two days ago, and when this song came on, I said, "This is awesome!" Out loud, then I finished the game and proceeded to play the post game stuff throughout the night!
Would you kindly give credit to @Frawbo a.k.a Fraubo_ for the gameplay. The title of his video is HI-FI RUSH - Final Stage [Streamer Mode Off] ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BCnNBOwekVM.html&ab_channel=Fraubo_ and this clip is on 8:27 on that video. He already asked you about it and he might give better video quality if you comply.
The quality and precision of your gameplay to the music makes me reflect on how lousy I was by comparison. But that's okay, because I think that's one of the joys of this game. You can stumble through it and still be dazzled and feel like you're doing incredible things, but if you keep at it, you can get better and better and see even better things.
OK, so my journey started when I heard this song on Cinemax for a trailer of new movies they were going to be showing on the channel after month I found out the name of this song in tonight start listening to the song and it lead me here to this video of a game I wish I had the chance to play back then.
Thanks @Frawbo a.k.a Fraubo_ for the gameplay. The title of his video is HI-FI RUSH - Final Stage [Streamer Mode Off] ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BCnNBOwekVM.html&ab_channel=Fraubo_ and this clip is on 8:27 on that video.
You know the game and song is good when the band who's music is in the game just puts footage of them playing the game to their song on their RU-vid page. Burning question for the band though: Hi Fi Rush has 2 different soundtracks - the licensed version with licensed songs (like Whirring), and the "streamer" version with "sound-alike" songs and covers done by the in-house band The Glass Pyramids. Whirring's "streaming" counterpart is "Surfacing" By The Glass Pyramids. What do you think of the "streamer" version of the game soundtrack and song?
Not to be bitter but the gameplay you are seeing was played by me and uploaded to my channel. The band just ripped it off without saying anything and not answering when I asked for credit
