This is awesome. First time seeing the channel. I’m the same as Dad here-saw Ren, got hooked, went deep into his library and can’t get enough, and now I want to show Ren to anyone who will listen/watch. And ya, Ren is showing me a way to enjoy music that I’ve never seen before. He’s just so good.

I totally subbed to watch you tumble further down the rain rabbit hole. And what's crazy is Ren is a totally independent artist. He has no record label, no manager, nothing. And the pre-sale for his hip hop album is currently number one and it's outselling The Rolling Stones first album in 40 years! Ren's#1, Rolling Stones #2 and Ed Sheeran is #3. That is absolutely bananas and he so deserves it. Awesome reaction and thank your dad for me for introducing another beautiful human to Ren.

Some of Ren’s catalog/lyrics is a bit extreme for a father/daughter reaction, but the overall quality of his performance and content makes it more palatable. Anyway, I hope you plan to go down the very deep and diverse (as dad seems to already know) Ren rabbit hole. You will truly see why Ren is basically genre-less and during the travel down, you will be introduced to several other great artists through collaborations with Ren. So many songs!

A great one from the Big Push to watch is Lonely Boy and Paint it Black which was their last street performance before Ren went for his treatment in Canada.

This was so good. I'm so glad to see a dad and daughter react to music like this. I love sharing music back and forth with my daughter, and I can't say how much I relate to Steve. LOL The fact that he was even mouthing the words at different times, (I do that too, apparently), actually makes me feel a little less weird with my apparent need to share songs created by Ren with my daughter. ... But I really do get the motivation. I'm 56. I've listened to a lot of music and a lot of different genres. ... I've been dumbstruck by some incredibly talented artists a number of times. Ren is a different sort of talent. He's beyond appropriate description. Ren is an energy that we could all do well to plug in to. This was fantastic, and I've subscribed to your channel. I also love that you dad turned you onto Ren. I have found that many people of all ages really resonate with him. He is genre-less and age-less in many respects. He speak the truth from his heart, the way music is supposed to be.

Genesis was recorded in Brighton which is on the south coast of the UK about 57 miles from London. The Big Push did all their busking in Brighton. They would put out on social media for their followers when a where they would be performing.

Welcome to the Rabbit-Hole! Ren's entire catalog is worth checking out. I truly believe he is a once in a generation, maybe even once in a lifetime caliber talent. And check this out: he is self taught. That said, he clearly lives for and loves music. His vocabulary and depth of knowledge is incredible. This guy is the real deal. If you dig the reggae vibe check out the acoustic version he did of Murderer.

When Ren was very ill and still undiagnosed, he turned to spiritual solutions in desperation (shamanic etc). He says he is not religious, but uses religious archetypes as a useful device in his lyrics. Ren has done some excellent collabs with Chinchilla (amazing voice) - def worth a listen. Also, Romaine (2nd guitar) has a new album out - quite different, and good stuff.

Since the beginning of the year Ren has been in Canada getting treated for his illness.

he was so sick he was bedridden for up 23 hours a day he went misdiagnosed for year they had him on meds that caused to have psychosis and ptsd it would take years before get got right diagnosis of Lyme disease he went so long misdiagnosed he has brain damage Organ damage and damage to joints if you want to see what a day like for him you should watch his video what a day like for me also he sings raps play piano drums bass if you want to see Ren play drum he does it in one of busking videos with the big push he play them close to end of video

So great to see you introducing your daughter to Ren. I'm 66 and recently introduced our 17 year old son to him. He's an absolute force and possibly the best lyricist I've ever heard. I'm a retired touring/studio engineer and have worked with some of the biggest names in music and what Ren does completely amazes me.

You should listen to Freckled Angels which was the first song he wrote for his late friend Joe Hughes. His duets with Eden Nash and Chinchilla are great as well. He has pretty diverse library of music. As for religion he's said he isn't religious but he likes the symbolism.
