David Coverdale, the lead singer of Whitesnake, has one of the most iconic voices in rock. His powerful vocals and charismatic stage presence have defined the band's sound since their formation. "Slow an' Easy," one of their classic tracks, perfectly showcases his gritty yet soulful voice. The song's bluesy groove combined with Coverdale's raw energy makes it a timeless anthem in rock history. Whether you're a longtime fan or just discovering Whitesnake, "Slow an' Easy" is a must-listen.

This is the actual Whitesnake band in this video. The one you see in the 87 videos were hired just for the videos since David didn't think his actual band had the right image. They did become the most iconic videos of the eighties so he had some point. This song comes from the album Slide it In. You should react to that song and Spit it Out. If you are wondering, yes both songs are about love making.

The drums on this song are played by the late, great Cozy Powell. One of the all time great rock drummers. He was also the drummer on the "Rainbow Rising" album featuring Rainbow's all-time classic "Stargazer" and his solo effort "Dance with the Devil" is well worth a listen. The drumming on that is truly phenomenal. Here's a link to him playing it at a Whitesnake concert : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NO_fx1WshCA.html&start_radio=1

Give a hail out to the late Jon Lord (keyboards) and Cozy Powell (drums)... who played on this track 🤘🤘I believe this 1984 version was w/ John Sykes (guitar), Neil Murray (bass) and Mel Galley (guitar) ... The original track was written and recorded w/ guitarist Mick Moody. This song from the '84 album 'Slide it in' became one of Whitesnake's first hits in N. America... along w/ "Love ain't no stranger"... 🔥🔥

Still amazed that you have never reacted to The Babys after all of these years. You did John Waite with Bad English. You did John Waite solo but never his first group or their top 20 hits Isn't It Time and Every Time I Think of You. Oh, and while he was not in the band at the time of those songs, Journey's keyboardist Jonathon Cain was in that band before joining Journey. Another band you really need to give another look is Night Ranger. You reacted to Sister Christian, which was their popular power ballad but was not indicative of their normal music. Don't Tell Me You Love Me rocks with the best of them and had killer guitar solos.
@debbiesmith2651
@debbiesmith2651 9 дней назад
Agree! Babys were late 70's, early 80's. My favorites are Midnight Rendezvous, Looking For Love, Turn and Walk Away and Silver Dreams. Most people know that Jonathan Cain went on to Journey and wrote some of their best songs back in the day, Faithfully among them. Also if note, Walt Stocker went on to play with Rod Stewart for quite a while. John Waite had his solo career also. Best album is Union Jacks IMO.

Not for some reason, Coverdale wanted to be the star and booted Sykes because he would pull attention away from Coverdale. What could have been if his ego wasn’t so big. It could have been a Jagger/Richards, Plant/ Page or even a Roth/ Van Halen combo that would have kicked ass for a while.

After the album that had the big hits (often called 1987) was finished being recorded John Sykes returned home to England. Coverdale wanted him to fly back and rerecord the solo for Here I Go Again. John refused as he was happy with what he recorded. Coverdale called in Vandenberg to rerecord the solo. Before the tour and any video's were made Coverdale fired the band you see in this video , which is the band that recorded 1987 album. Coverdale handpicked Vivian Campbell , Adrian Vandenberg , Rudy Sarzo & Tommy Aldridge to be in the videos & do the tour. When Sykes formed Blue Murder afterwards we got to hear his great singing voice to add to his killer guitar playing. Its possible Coverdale felt a little competition in Sykes and decided to nip it in the bud. Three sides to every story - Coverdales , the bands & the truth. Its a shame cause they were good together.

WHAT A SONG!!! Jay was right, in the beginning there was a strong Robert Plant/Led Zeppelin vibe. And then it kicked it up a notch and ROCKED!!

Ive been a whitesnake fan since 1980 and seen them five times - Still of the Night, Is this Love, Here I Go Again and Dont Break My Heart Again are my favourites.

David Coverdale and Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin formed Coverdale Page in the late 80's, early 90's maybe? But you have to check out their song/video Shake My Tree. It rocks like this one with Zeppelin vibes! If you listen to it in the car you'll get a speeding ticket!

Thank you so much for reacting to this amazing song. Besides Still of The Night this is my husband's favorite. He passed away in 2018 and listening to his favorite music comforts me. Love you guys ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

So happy I found you guys. Seeing the younger crowd enjoy the music I did when the songs first came out. I got a headband and amber sway going on over arching this. Can’t wait for more.

If you guys get the chance, check out the band "Montrose" and the song "Rock Candy." It was Sammy Hagar's vocals before Van Halen.

Very impressed that you reacted to this one, although as had been previously mentioned, the longer album version is better ❤

This album is 🔥. I heard this song on the radio and went right out and bought the cassette. Didn't leave my boombox for weeks!

Dave is a great front man. Whitesnake's sound is like glam/hair metal had a baby with blues music. I also love thus song's unique vibe. I was amazed at how tight the band is/was when I dud a deep dive on their catalog. Lots of good tunes to explore from them.

It's funny you mentioned getting Robert Plant vibes. The singer, David Coverdale, did an album with Jimmy Page called Coverdale Page.

I saw White Snake in the early 80s at a local night club. Most of the crowd were covered in leather and piercings. Very dynamic performers.
