Some people might be confused about why we're doing an episode of Hi Shredability on a skateboarder, but while Greyson Fletcher is known for his skateboarding, it's not uncommon to see him in the water at T Street, or hanging on the North Shore with John John Florence.
He also represents the fourth generation of a family that has produced some of the most influential surfers ever. How many people can say their great-grandpa, grandpa, dad, and uncle all rip?

I met Greyson today at Etnies Skatepark and he is one of my favorite skaters. He's actually a really nice guy and enjoyable to talk to. Amazing skater as well...

My buddy in grade school lived a couple doors down from the Fletcher's in Capo Beach in the 80s. I was in third grade, and I already knew about the Fletchers. One day Nathan was playing across the street from my buddy's place. Nathan was a year or two younger than us. We were in third grade so Nathan was probably in first or s cond grade. That day, young Nathan was outside skateboarding on the mellow slope of the street and he was trying to build an embankment out of plywood propped against the curb so he could ride it while riding down hill. It was radical for such a little kid. Such a radical family.

The Fletcher's are one craziest families. Christain and nathen surf, skate, snowboard, and ride dirtbikes and Greyson pretty much does the same or at least skates and surfs. Their whole family reminds me of the rocket power family lol. And the Fletcher's made Jason Jessee into the skater he is because him and Christain grew up together and that's probably why Jason is such a kook too. Fuck they looked up to Duane peters growing up and that guys nuts but awesome

Greyson was my neighbor when I lived in Anaheim hills! We used to ride bikes & skate boards & cause chaos in the dirt lot at the end if the cul-de-sac! He was rad.... These were the days when youd knock on your neighbors door and ask if they could come out and play!

And I'm fully aware of his talent, which is why I'm worried about him looking so goddamn fucking wasted all the time. Alcohol abuse WILL catch up with a person. No matter what you seem to believe.. Wow,I'm a huge fan of greyson and his ninja kick ollies. He makes the board float for super long like houdini and shit. But he seems kinda depressed.daytime drinking at work shit?.and even if all those burn marks on his arm are from a "cigarette game" ,what kinda happy and mentally healthy person plays a game like that...cry for help much?...but i hope he keeps killin it and turns pro soon, that would be sick!!!

It is really cool to see a Fletcher that, seems to, have the best qualities of his family without the rage turned to # 10 like Christian. I'm looking forward to what Greyson does in his business or professional life. He is evidence a college debt of +$80k is NOT always the solution -pleased with how you lead your own life..... is.
