On the morning of March 9, 2023 we decided to chase the Altoona to Dunncansville local: HI10. Normally having a lash up of a mother and slug, NS 754 and NS 301, HI10 normally doesn't have many issues doing their daily duties. While today started out smooth, it quickly turned sour as HI10's mother unit died only 3 miles down the Cove Secondary.
This prompted the need for a rescue unit, GP38 NS 5314. She had the horn of an angel and provided the necessary power to get the local down to Hollidaysburg where Mechanical Fred was able to get 3011 to cooperate again.
