I just thought he was joking. xD He did joke every now and then, but I should have suspected. I actually am super adaptive so I just thought we were doing a player vote to see where we'd go next. Despite thinking something is wrong because the fight wasn't as cool as Wildfire when it should have been. Also there were like 3 mysteries we didn't solve yet. xD

I hope they do have guests join and leave the Express as the story goes on, I was lowkey excited to have Boothill and Swan around in the dream. It would be cool if we actually did have visitors join and leave the Express with every couple story beats to keep the interactions fresh.
Started playing hi3 a month and a half ago thanks to 2.1. I just finished ch17 the other day and it hit me that the chakra thing behind Mei's Herrscher form, looks a LOT like the outline of a blackhole. It's insane the amount of details they include to tie these games together.

@@thederp9309 She has downsides. Acheron is the most broken character of the game only if you invert in her and have her, at least, at e2 She is too much niche and her team composisions are too much restricted otherwise bcs of her trace

In the end, he connected with Acheron the only way he could. By asking her name, simply because someone should know it. Akivili would be proud of THEIR Nameless.
I wonder... we know Luocha isn't necessarily this universe's Otto Apocalypse because Void Archives too is somewhere in this pot. In which case... could this "Oswaldo Schneider" fella that Boothill is after be it?

@@yesseniavo Right? Otto doesn't necessarily scream german at least not until you look closer at Schicksal... but his *corporation* does. What if the Star Rail version of Otto too is a corporate titan, but in *this* verse it's *his* name that's inspired by germanic, not that of the company he runs. I'm grasping at straws but still... the fact that the IPC has been giving off villain vibes of late kinda fits the narrative.
- Acheron's story is essentially a Kiana-less HI3 - So many perfect expys - Stellarons causing corruption on planets, followed by the invasion of the Legion I'm calling it: Star Rail is the new branch Otto created at the end of Thus Spoke the Apocalypse. Stellarons and their corruption is their Honkai equivalent, the Sky People are a branch of the Legion, and they're after Himeko because of the Express.
I believe that all the different worlds and planets that we go to in HSR are effectively different "branches" of the imaginary tree. It's not just space that separates them, but imaginary energy - that's why the express is important to the universe-wide society, and why they don't just make rockets. My understanding is that the world of HI3 (including Earth, Mars, and Venus) is just another one of the worlds that the express could theoretically visit, alongside Teyvat or the world of GGZ. Acheron's doomed world is another one of the branches, as is Belobog, as is the collective worldships of the Xianzhou. (A "world" doesn't necessarily mean a "planet", just a section of the universe that's relatively passable without needing to cross the imaginary energy border.) With that info, IMO it's more likely that the Cocoon of Finality is an Emanator (or even the Aeon) of Finality, although I think you're right that the Sky People are a part of the Legion (or some other faction). (This information is not communicated super well in-game, especially due to inconsistent localization of relatively technical concepts from Chinese -> English. I'm getting most of my info from a video by Homu Labs that breaks down the weird translations across all of MiHoYo's games, and all the hints about the cosmology of the Hoyoverse from each of the games.)
@@zrneely You're mostly right: the problem is that Hoyo uses weird terminology, and it's not even very consistent in its use. The crux is that the "worlds" on the Tree aren't really "worlds", but rather "universes". Depending on their size, they can be extremely small (Like Durandal's), planet-sized, or even galaxy sized (Asdana is referred to as a galaxy). Normally, "space" exploration is confined to the single "world" (going to the Moon, going to Mars, etc), because outside of those confines there's a great quantity of impassable imaginary energy. The exception to this rule is the Astral Express, which is able to open routes between "worlds" via the Silver Rails, which can then be used by normal people to travel. Stellarons appear on worlds where the Rails exist, spreading corruption and closing off the route. What we know is that the closer two "worlds" are, the biggest the similarities between them. Which is why HI3's Earth is nearly identical to GGZ's, while Teyvat only has a couple of Expys. I didn't feel like writing this paper in the first post, which is why I called it "Star Rail", but yeah, my original point was that Acheron's world born of Otto's actions. Nice call on the Cocoon being an Emanator, it didn't even cross my mind.
I also don't think it is a different Mei. The sword Acheron uses is the same one Raiden Mei finds in the end video of Lament of the Fallen. They also possess the same Red Gauntlets. Also. We met her version in Star Rails universe already. Ruan Mei is that version. If this is true it means Herschers do not exist in HSR and can't exist in HSR. It also means that Welt only possesses his abilities as far as what has intergrated within him. He's no longer a Herscher.

I don't want to preach to anyone on how to play the game correctly and if you want to keep playing how you are then all the power too you! Just playing story fights like this with characters who don't immediately kill the boss helps make the story more dramatic and exciting for me, plus you hear all the dialogue! Though seeing your Acheron do big damage was really cool. Loved your play through and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
As someone who definitely use the nameless gang for each main story for immersion. Damn straight it's hard, but so satisfying when I didn't missed the story in the slightest 😂
I need houkai sekai no utahime or diva of disruptive world to play next patch, and kiana expy next anniv or cny or sth. And never doubt in shaoji's writing, not after elysian realm. Just wonder how many charas survive
