The phrase "Benders brain is OK" keeps bumping in my head at times ahah. Guy is legendary!!! Give him back the microphone so that JAZZ CAN FINALLY RULE OVER THE WORLD 🤸♂️🤸♀️😂🤸🤸♀️
OK, no one's shouting out the brilliant Arthur Verocai so I'll do it. The fact they got a feature from them speaks volumes for their credibility. You can hear his fingerprints on this track. Good stuff.
The first song I ever heard was Breathing Underwater in 2014 & I’ve been addicted ever since!!! Crazy to think they have fans all over the globe now, YALL NEED TO COME TO DALLAS TEXAS!!! 🥳👑😩💖☀️
These guys are so musically gifted. I like how the track went from a Soul filled groove to Jazz to Trip Hop then to something real cosmic. HK are the best!!
The musicianship of Hiatus Kaiyote as a band and with each and every member (and even at times the backup crew) is immense, even if it doesn't fit particular genre-purist tastes. There are points in time within this song where the band cohesion is in pristine chaos alignment. There are musicians around the world that are in awe of these fine young people, and it is due strictly to that very same pristine chaos in complete alignment!!! Those who really know the fight being fought to be here, are just thankful to witness it. We're empowered by it, and my hope is that we can empower Hiatus Kaiyote to keep up the good fight! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Mane! I my Memphis Tennessee voice. This song saved my life on so many terms of endearment. She can sang! Whe n she Says I wanna like whachado....I played that on back roads of slave houses in west Memphis....this is FUNK
Omg, Hiatus is so damn good and pack such vibes that they sound even better live than on the studio version of their songs. So glad you guys are back 🎶❤️✨!
So few bands do this kind of music, and none are better than Hiatus Kaiyote. They sound great; on top of the game! And I have to drop a word about the Absolutely flawless audio and video production by Triple J/ABC.
Watching this for the second time in a long while, and I'm noticing that Nai's guitar is the most pronounced that I've heard in the mix here for Get Sun. It's barely audible on the recording, on Tiny Desk and when I saw them in Oakland last year.... overall brilliant performance. It was like they knew they were only doing a few songs, so they flushed out each one well. Kudos on whoever did sound, enriching the performance.
Genius of music is to make the most sophisticated piece the simplest to listen to. Hyatus Kayote invites us to the pleasuredome of jazz and it's just fucking good !
