Is there any way to increase the displayed size of the album art ? I really like the way it was nearly 'full screen' with its predecessor the Hibry R3 2022 Saber

Great review as always, Dave. Thanks for calling out the M0 Pro, I have and use that frequently "on the go". I also use the Shanling M3X and have the HiBy RS6 (R2R Darwin). Each have a different form factor and weight lending to different use cases. I was thinking of replacing the M0 Pro with this and gift it to my sister, but now I think I'll hang on to it a little longer.

So Im coming from a 6th gen ipod touch. I used it as a way of playing music in the car and when doing activities. How would this compare as im trying to find a replacement for the iPod touch?

Can someone help me understand the Hiby Link feature? Can you control playback on the Hiby R3II DAP on your phone for RU-vid music, or it only works with the Hiby player? I'm also confused. If you want to control playback with your phone, why can't you just use the Hiby R3II DAP as a bluetooth amp/dac (basically a more powerful BTR5). Last question: is there any video/audio sync issues on bluetooth dac mode (e.g., for watching videos on computer/phone).

One more question. I also own a Cabin RU7. Can I plug this dongle DAC into this player, when I am at home?

Will this also work as DAC when hooked up to a computer like the shanling m0 pro?

Hello Friend, Great Video!! I am considering to get an R3 II to replace my Shanling M0 Pro but I have 2 questions. When you browse the music files by folders, does the songs of the album appears in alphabetical order or in the order of the cd? And how does the R3 II perform as a bluetooth receiver compared to the shanling M0 Pro and something Like the Qudelix 5K? My main use for it as a bluetooth device would be to connect to my tvs and wach shows and movies with my headphones, My qudelix was amazing for this but the M0 pro does not work properly. I hope you can help me on this, Thank you very much

Great video and info. I'm looking to get into my first DAP and trying to pick between this and the new Hiby M300, not sure if you've seen the specs for it but what would you recommend? I listen to a lot of Drum & Bass and would like something that has a more accurate sound, especially the low end. What pulls me towards the R3 II is the balanced output since my monitors & sub are all balanced.

Thanks for your video I've had the R3 II since yesterday, it's a good little DAP, it would be really great IF there weren't some big problems: I can't access my QOBUZ account (if anyone has the same problem as me, let me know) The keyboard is based on an old system of 90s this is not acceptable because there would be room to put all the letters, the little shanking Q1 fits there and it is much smaller! the interface is really not practical, for example, there is no way to return to the main screen without going up the entire screen chain, and no effective shortcut like on all devices of this type Currently. As for the sound, it's good. The device is handy and pleasant but I think I will still send it back if I cannot resolve this Qobuz account problem. Damage . But I already have a Shanling Q1 (without Qobuz) and a Fiio M 11

I got mine today and am disappointed not in the quality or the sound quality but... I bought this because I listen to long lectures in MP3 that are each a couple of hours long. My iBasso Audio keeps my place in my lecture when I turn off the player, so when I turn it back on I am right where I left off. I got this player to be a take on the go work player so my expensive iBasso Audio player doesn't get lost or damaged and it does not book mark or stop and recover from where I left off in the lecture. As a music player I'm sure it's fine but for my purposes it is a paperweight. Maybe I will see if one of my kids want it.

This DAP is good, unfortunately the volume knob is slippery and triggers my OCD. 😅

Bro please help .. I purchased this product but M" not at all happy even 50% .. my 8 years old cowon i10 is outperforming this thing .. currently I am using only 3.5mm port with simgot E500 IEM .. do you think there will be any change in sound quality if I shift to 4.4mm cabled IEM ?? Please help I am very sad with this purchase Frankly speaking this thing sounds like a ordinary phone with an IEM or even worse with some musics (currently I only used 3.5mm IEM.. dont have 4.4mm) Please suggest

Do you get a lot of firmware issues?? I have quite a lot with the r3 2022. If the entire battery drains i can't charge it with a wall charger, have to charge it with a computer. Sometimes when i press play it blasts out audio at full volume for a split second. If I'm in shuffle mode and i want to go back a song, it will skip all the songs i cycled back through after that song, including the song i was originally on when i skipped back a track. These are all really big quality of life issues and if they cant fix them they are wasting their time. That doesnt even touch on the awful tidal integration.

So basically the same DAC as Qudelix 5K. No Spotify and pretty poor screen quality.

Same price with Shanling M1S

DAC still Better than DAP (Sound).. i have Hiby FC4, its better than this things.. and yeah better than shanlinh m0Pro or M1S
