I purchased the Hiby R6 Pro 2 almost two weeks ago. This is an exceptional dap!! When connected to my Hifiman Sundara ( using Mogami headphone cable) the sound is breathtaking. In high gain using class A the music has a better sound stage and detail than class AB. My one major complaint is I wish it had a separate volume wheel. I can live with the short battery time due to the sound improvement using class A. So happy I purchased this dap!! Thanks for your informative review.
Great review as usual. This is the latest one to my dap collection. Have been using it for the past 1 week+, really awesome. In a dilemma now, hiby r6 pro 2, dx240 and WM1am2 I will probably let go 1 or 2 of them, so that I can fund for a new one to try out.

Would you say the hiby r6 pro II sounds better than the ibasso dx 240 in stick amp 1 mk3 ? I would be suprised if sounded better i would like your opinion
@@dave91863 I think it really depends on the type of sound you prefer. Hiby r6 pro 2 is slightly on the warmer side, so the sound is smooth and musical. As for the dx240, it is more neutral bright. It gives a more clean sound, sometimes can feel a little "dry" for me. Of course the bass, sound stage etc are all good. One thing to note is that the power output on dx240 is alot higher than the r6 pro 2.
What price point of IEM would getting a DAP of this caliber make sense? I am fairly new in this side of the hobby and at the get a few different 100$ iem stage. I know it's all in theory but I feel getting better iem would make more sense, just didn't know when I could start looking at better player then built in 3.5 or dongle from phone
@@karolkedzierski5824 This is fair, most of the time i just use the 3.5mm on my oneplus nord 2 lite, thats like a 250dolar smartphone unlocked. I is enogh for IEM on the move anyways. On the other hand I am a sucker for purple stuff and like the idea of it being a digital player dock to add to my hifi setup. I dont know if it would be much diffrent then my tablet into a smsl ddc to I2S source for my aries 12th. The dap would offer the option of an alternative to the R2R dac tho. There is also the dumb phone + dap combo i like the idea of tbh
@@karolkedzierski5824 This is fair, and yeah i am in no rush to get a dap, what kind of kills it for me is the battery life. I sometimes listen to music close to 12h at work so that is a break point for me tbh
I use the Sennheiser IE600 which are about the same price as this DAP and my guy I love it. I actually think that there isn't such guidance as to what ratio you should use like in computer building. Pick your IEMs first and then buy a dap.
I've tried both of them (in default setting) with monarch mk2. I would say dx320 (with stock amp) have better sound signature in my ear but when i tested out r6pii i dont realize 2 hour has passed by, it definitely has quality of high tier dap with the price of mid tier.
Im looking for a dap that can drive headphones like hd800s, hifiman planar and other over headphones, do you think this dap have the power to drive them? Or maybe fiio m23 or m6 ultra? Thanks a lot
@@dmytrotarasov9477 i dont have any daps now, they are garbage compared to decent desktop amp which you can get for under £200 i will never buy another dap again
So I bought a Sony Nw-a306 to pair with my Dunu SA6 MK2 but thenoise floor seems a little high. I was able to pick up hiss and electonic seeking noise and buzzing with the wifi on. How is this and the Hibi R6 Gen3 with sensitive iems?
Og you have the unit and time doing a review of the using the docking feature with internal and external dac. It is one of the selling point that could bring daps back to a broader marked
Praticamente è stato sul tavolo 15’ con la stessa schermata. Non si riesce mai a vedere come passare da un artista all’altro, da un album all’altro, come appaiono le copertine, se si può fare una ricerca fra i brani (quanti? 4000? 14999 come tanti DAC? 20000 come l’Hidizs AP80 Pro-X? Quanti?) in ordine alfabetico. Se mette i Beatles sotto la “B” o sotto la “T” di The Beatles. Tienilo sul tavolo…OK!
