Xenon is outdated technology

@@maxl7827 it does not matter how outdated you believe it to be. Retrofit of anything is not an option if the it goes against rules/laws, and is on top of that not a viable option as the reflector is not built to take advantage of the new light source.

@@GoingShirtless This is a xenon projector, not reflector, theres your first mistake..

So... I guess we need to talk about physics. A light source regardless of its design will need a reflector. And the reflector here is built for an omnidirectional light source - which a LED array for the most part is not.

I guess it just gets the 12v power from the ballast. After I uploaded this video, I replaced these led bulbs with aukee 50w led. They are even more brighter and I have no issues with them. Running them for the past 8 months.

You can skip the ballast and wire it directly

It wont work...

No D1S is the bulb type. For high and low the mechanism inside the headlight assembly moves to make it high and low, instead of using separate bulbs.

No errors at all.

No issues at all. I retuned these ones after a week of using and found another set of bulbs which are brighter than these ones. Had them for very long time now and daily drive my car . It improved the visibility for me.

I replaced these Led with Aukee 50w led . They are much better. Running them for past 8 months.

No these works with ballast.

Why new housing? This housing is perfectly fine.

Get the Philips high end one Forget dimming in 15 minutes It will not get dim for years to come. Trust me

It is meant to be used that way.

The balast for the HID delivers a higher voltage Where as the driver for the LED delivers 12v I use the Philips high end LED for the high and low beam The light output and the beam pattern are amazing.

​@@Buzzvlogs321 high starting voltage from the ballast is true for D2, but not for D1. They have the starter build in the square lampbase.

Your xenon bulds or Ballast is gone bad.

Not sure about the other people experiences but for me it improved the lighting and are working great. By the way I had to return these bulbs and got the other brand with more brightness.
