Hidden Blade WIP 

THANK YOU! I've been through a half dozen hidden blade videos and this is the first dumbed it down enough for me!

thanks to your design, i finally finished working on my hidden blade's design.

Truthfully, there are. But none of them give away how it works so no one can really build off of it. I really like this one though. Good job.

Thank you, No one seems to have seen the codex page on AC2 but you since everyone else uses the gravity string method.

Though wouldn't this mechanism draw the blade back in when pushed on, I realize it won't completely but still it will, the moment the little rectangle thing is not in the middle... Please correct me if I'm wrong. I would have liked if you should us what happens once you push on it, looking at this program, it looks fully capable of simulating force.

You could probably just take some sheet metal and cut them out then attach them together with screws. I'm actually in the process of designing a blade and sheath for a similar version of this. And in theory it should work just like the ones in the games.

I doubt it will work with a knive. But it's a well made assembly. Solidworks is an great design program!

actually its different ammnra is an otf mechanism so there is a peice with a spring on both sides that pulls the blade forward and opens the lock at the same time(it sodes that for both ways) this is a scissor jack mechanism which i think is much easier to do but both hidden blades work very similar i can see why you made that assumption

What are those extending pieces of metal called? I'm going to tweak this and make it if that's okay.

See the problem with this method, what most think, is that the scissor mech is too wide, but in reality, instead of using only a few long ones, you can use a series of smaller ones and still get an nearly large enough blade

I printed it in ABS Plastic at my school. The connector pegs all broke when I tried to connect them all. This would not be the best idea to go off of to try to make on your own. try using the OTF mechanism that other people are using. It is alot easier to make.

Can you make a design that has the parts that will lock the blade/wheel in both positions? ty

@ XxModernAssassin, the end of the metal plates (that form a spring like thing) moves a few cm from the hearth. You'll need to drill holes in the knive and another piece of metal to make it work. Also there need to be some sort of guidance so the knife would follow a preset direction. Afterall it could work but i doubt with the assembly at this moment. But if you see a way id love to hear it :)

its good. but one thing. where the blade is hidden, it needs to be on your intire fore arm, and two, the blade needs to be bigger

this is just focusing on one mechanism, as you can see it doesn't have various other things like the cord and ring, blade, and straps. so it seems that the locking mechanism is also missing. /watch?v=0XMpIJ5AspU shows a locking mechanism

well i was thinking to use ammnra's wheel there is a video in the description called "Hidden Blade Dual Action Assassin's Creed(Complete Ammnra's Wheel)"just build the wheel over this wheel :D

in my robotics clubed we called it a sccisors lift though i could be wrong. hope this helps.
