We explored the big hidden Cement Creek Caves just South of Crested Butte. They are a series of 3 large caves with 500 feet of total passage, which are situated atop a 900 foot elevation gain overlooking the beautiful valley of the Gunnison River. Then we stopped by the lovely alpine Lake Irwin and finished off the day with a peaceful walk through the Aspen Trees on The Beaver Pond Trail in The Elk Creek Wilderness.
