Warning for people trying to complete this mission in hard or very hard difficulty. Documents not spawning in spaghetti airport. If you play this mission in either of those difficulties, you may experience a bug, that makes the documents not spawn. In other difficulties, there are three possible spawn locations: the main building, the hangar, and the tents. If you play in hard or very hard, the first two mentioned locations are bugged, so if the games tries to spawn the docs in either of these two locations, they won't, and you won't find them anywhere in the map. That means that in these difficulties you can only find the documents in the tents, so if they are not in the tents, they are nowhere to be found. A good strategy then is to go straight to the tents, and if the docs aren't there, restart the mission and repeat until they spawn. If you are playing in hard, I recommend you save the game when they do spawn. If you play in very hard, wich doesn't let you save, good luck xD. I have heard that people playing in other versions (maybe the original version from a CD) don't experience this bug. But it is guaranteed that you'll experience it if you play in the Steam version.

No wonder I was thinking the documents would be in the main building lol. Again, I'll pin this comment. Thanks for the info! I have the game on the original CD version. I checked it out, and it indeed seems that the only working spawn location for the documents is the tents (on Very Hard)

@@TheSm1thers Maybe there's a cheat code to automatically complete the mission. But I have no idea. I completed it on very hard with lots of tries and suffering. Good luck.

I'm playing this level on the hard level. It took me a while to find the document. The document is inside a drawer... I destroyed the drawer a bit but I can't get the document from inside

Great game, I replay it about once every few years. I wish they'd remake both games using modern graphics and controls. The first game was especially clunky to control, but you could see the idea they had in mind. It also needed an AI upgrade, enemies would often ignore dead bodies in the first game

Oh! I loved this level. I always took the uniform of the Italian officer and the captured soldiers, so later it was easier er to play in the stealth mode. :)

I just started playing H&D2 on hard, what I managed to accomplish is turning that gay ragdoll off so when enemies (or I) die, i have prerendered animation lol, and I'm also stuck on the documents part, but I see it's not my problem only...

Booo, the OG ragdolls in this game are great hahahaha. I'm glad Federico warned about that issue. It slipped my mind that the documents had three spawn points, but I was unaware two of them are broken on the (Very) Hard difficulty. Federico's comment has already paid off, by saving you some headache

I've just replayed this yesterday. I found that the tank will face away from you if you chuck a grenade on the far side. Then I creep up with explosives rather than the panzerfaust.

Can't destroy the last plane cos it flew off and can't find the documents anywhere :(

Destroying the airplanes is optional, not mandatory. You can skip that objective. You do need to clear out all enemies however, including those in the trenches As for the documents, look at Federico's comment for that issue (seems you already have). The documents are in one of three places depending on difficulty setting: In the hangar (Normal), in the tents (Hard and Very Hard), or in the large room in the main building (Easy). If you can't find the Documents there, you'll unfortunately have to restart the mission and try again. There's no cheat code to skip missions, so that can't be a solution either. Play your way through to the Documents location of your difficulty, and see if the Documents are there or not. I hope next time you'll have no troubles with this mission!

You can kill the pilot before he reaches it like the way the OP did it. You know you got the correct pilot when the "objective complete" music plays.
