Yeah but I like the pin pull better because everybody says that once you get those rubicons in water the electronic disconnect doesn't work anyway. Yeah that front bumper is a big problem on the Subaru. To me that's one of the biggest issues and where my Cherokee trailhawk really pulls away from a Subaru. Heck that's where a compass trailhawk or renegade would probably pull away from a Subaru. No offense to the Subaru guys but I bet a renegade trailhawk still has a better approach angle even after you cut the bumper on the Subaru.
You can always disconnect manually if it does fail. Lol! I used to do that on an old grand Cherokee I owned. But yeah, sometimes you just want it disconnected completely. My first JKU Rubicon I ended up putting manual disconnects because I kept having the sway bar go too far and the links would get bent backwards and break. And yeah there’s definitely better tools in the shed than Subaru’s for off-roading. 😂 But as a car guy I think it’s cool to see what others have done.
Unfortunately, no. This was a flashback to some old footage that I never got around to publishing. I just thought it would be cool to look back at this run in particular, since we had a TJ, a JKU, and a JLU all on the same trail. I do miss that ol' TJR sometimes!
