The small wine cellar must have another explanation than Prohibition. After all, the White House was completely gutted and the interior rebuilt during the Truman presidency, which occurred after the end of Prohibition. A larger wine cellar could have been installed then. Truman struck me as a pretty straight-laced guy. Maybe he waved away any such decadence. And thinking of the presidents that followed, only JFK and Reagan seemed to be from circles that would value an impressive wine collection. But they didn't install one either. If Ford could install a pool, a large wine cellar would be a cinch. But no.

Last night some guys were taking pics of the “White House” but the joke was on them. It was lights on at 1 am and it wasn’t the White House! It was the Capitol. I laughed so hard. I was like are you kiddivg? They are suppose to be secret sloths. And they didn’t know the difference? Hello!
in 2014 i went to tour the white house and capitol, the senator secretary gave us the tour and took us from the capital to the white house via a little tram like golfcart in a tunnel underground
