I truly didn't know that Marvel and DC made characters so similar to each other. I've read Batman comics, and I like that Dick Grayson became Nightwing. I think he was well writen over the years. I never read Captain America comics so I didn't know who Bucky Barnes is until I saw Captain America. So Bucky having become The Winter Soldier was a movie moment for me. Only later I found out that it happened in the comics first. I didn't know that Namor came before Aquaman. Still, they have different backgrounds. Namor is a mutant and Aquaman is a half human-half Atlantean. I think Aquaman is more interesting though.

Don't forget, Mr Fantastic, Elongated Man and Plastic Man. There are tons of Marvel rip-offs of DC if you look at early stuff. Ever notice Wolverine and Timber Wolf of the Legion? Later, DC took a few from Marvel but not near as many in my opinion. Either way most of the characters are still great.
