I had a walk around waingate yesterday everybody involved in flattening the old castle market the gallery and shops to unearth a few old blocks need locking up its nothing short of a disgrace.. a sheffielder of 51 years born 1969

The castle was built on lowlands. The 17th century map shows castle hill. Like the ruins have created a hill. So where is the rubble ?

I was taught about the dunking stool on the Ladys bridge as a child by my teacher from St Cathrines catholic school. You can still see the point where it was attached on the bridge in the centre. I tried looking it up but I could not find much info at all??

Another funny thing, commentary about Sheffield castle being bombed, not in the civil war, but the Second World War. His story hidden indeed🤔
