The comment about Disorder wasting anomaly damage is incorrect. It effectively doubles it by instantly applying full damage + remaining DoT damage a second time when disorder is triggered.
@@kenkaneki3873 Yes, with Rina or Seth as a support. The only thing that is unclear is how well her Passion stream buff will work if you need to switch between characters every 5 seconds or so. Maybe switching after each Disorder won't be the best rotation.
Disorder doesn't double actually. It does the remaining DoT damage plus a flat Motion Value, but the flat MV is less than a full anomaly. Also it's doubtful that Jane's best team will have Grace since her kit doesn't buff Jane like Supports or even Qingyi

And according to skill description the buff even gets some restoration from dodge attacks and assists and it is consumed by attacks instead of timer (she fills the bar with attacks and then consumes it with empowered attacks). So I guess it should all work perfectly with Grace.

Same reason for me. I got M6 Nicole pulling for Zhu Yuan so it was really worth it. Seth might have some team synergy with Jane and Anby too. Meanwhile Qingyi's banner has A-ranks that I won't need at all.
Jane is going to be the start of the anomaly/disorder meta teams. It's crazy that people are talking about building her sub dps when her kit screams main dps using anomaly
Even her passive making only her assault crit and not the rest of her kit makes it obvious that she’s meant to play in disorder. Her kit also capitalises on assists, follow ups, and high anomaly mastery, so she’s definitely not meant to be played as a solo anomaly.
I feel like Grace/Rina/Jane is going to be cracked. Rina's 3 second increase on shock means that if Jane can build up Assault quick enough, the disorder procs are going to be big. Along with her ability to make anomaly crit there is going to be some massive disorder burst. Rina's 10% electric damage increase also helps with the shock damage procs while Jane is on the field. I'm personally excited for this comp and not pulling Qingyi (I didn't get Zhu Yuan and have a good stunner for Ellen already). Thank you for this video though. Appreciate the insight. Oh, and Pull :)
Agree, Qingyi can carry even onfield DPS and Anomaly even though it's not her role. get 2 limited stunners and you're set for life. would be interesting to see what they do with a limied S Rank Defender though, Def role doesn't seem to be useful atm

I'm already using Ben in Hollow Zero for comfy clear. elsewhere they feel uneeded for their main role., can't think of anything else. other than that there might be berserker DPS like Hu Tao but that's just too niche for a whole role.
I'm gonna PULL for Qingye. The Zhu synergy looks like too much fun to resist. I'll move Anby over to my shock team with Rina and Anton (still missing Grace).

i always hate this "in the future we will or might get this or that" argument. yeah, we know eventually everyone gets powercrept in a gacha game - like luocha - but that does not mean that the char in question didn't carry you for 1 year+ until this time comes. if you want to really care about that possibility you can pull no one.. how long do we think will especially 1.x dps chars be relevant? so i guess no one should have pulled for ellen or zhu yuan, because DPS will for sure be powercrept and most likely even sooner than a decent stun unit or strong support. at the end of the day the vast majority of chars will fall off sooner or later

I'm definitely going for Qingyi. I'd rather fill a complete team with Zhu and Qingyi first so one side of shiyu is always ready. Plus getting 1 premium stunner at m1s1 means I'll pretty much never summon for another stunner unless they belong to some entirely new faction.
characters like qingyi will be really good long term because ideally you want to stun to start your rotation and it helps if the stun character does decent damage as they’re on field a lot
Ok why hasn't anyone mentiond that Jane and Nekomata? Nekomatas ENTIRE core ability is focused around assult. She LITERALLY gets a 70% dmg increase to her skill. So why aren't these two suppose to be good?
they are good, but nekomata is heavily overlooked because she requires a lot more conditions to be fulfilled to gain her buffs compared to the limited dps' and s11.
from what i understand 1. they'd be fighting for field time, jane wants to be on field getting perfect dodges which is also what neko wants so it'd probably be a bit clunky trying to use them together 2. jane's extra passive activates when there's another *assault* member on the team, not physical, so you'd have to either sacrifice nekomata or jane's passive for any team comp i dont think it'll be a bad comp but its just not the best for jane so people aren't talking about it as much

I would really like a video explaining specifically why certain units are called "on field DPS/stun" and others are "burst DPS/stun". If Ellen is considered an on field dps and is best paired with a burst stun to maximise field time, then who are the burst stuns that we already have and will arrive ? If Qingyi is considered an on field stun, who are the burst dpses that we already or will have access to ?
Zu yuan is a burst dps, aswell as billy and corin, "burst" DPS units are called this way because they output a massive amount of damage in a short window of time, , while on-fiels DPS units have a longer rotation of attacks that all deal large amounts of damage. As of now we don't have a super strong burst stun unit
I'm super bummed that Seth is in Jane Doe's banner since I planned on getting Qingyi, since my 2nd team badly needs a Stun unit, and getting Seth since I wanted a Defense unit that wasn't slow af like Ben, all the while planning on skipping Jane Doe. But after seeing more of Jane, she's slowly starting to grow on me. I hate that I'm liking both banners on the next patch since my polychromes are super limited and I'm only a very light spender (mainly just BP, 30-day login, and some of the lower currencies). I sincerely hope I get Qingyi early so I can do some pulls on Jane's banner, in the hopes of getting Seth. I don't mind not going after Jane, though I'm not opposed to getting lucky and pulling her, as well, by accident 🤣
I've got Ellen Lycaon and Soukkaku team, second team is Grace Anton Anby, but I do have Koleda I could use over Anby. So I feel like I don't need to pull for Qingyi, but I do really like Jane's design for... reasons. So I'll probably go for her unless something happens. I also have Nekomata if that changes anything.
My plan has always been to pull for Qingyi mainly because I only have Anby as my stunner. Also because I have Zhu Yuan. Jane Doe is interesting but she doesn't interest me enough to pull for her regardless of her kit.
Feels like it's the same for any hoyo game with their gacha characters. They will always make the content cater to the current banner, deciding on going for M0-M2 is purely on how you like the character. Each mindscape will make your clears faster by 15-20% per copy of the character or it helps with their comfort but they're not 100% needed if you play a bit with skill. Zhu Yuans M1 being just more bullets for clearing more mobs, M2 giving her more super armor and scaling damage. My suggestion is if you can hold off for 3-6 months of saving wishes and just grind out everything on content, events, battlepass, welkins. You can essentially make a full party of M2C1 with their weapons and they'll be the easiest to clear any content.
Jane Doe investment may look weird at first but i am hopeful. Its going to be what happened with Kafka being mid at first and then scales with nihil units down the line. For the sake of her Bouncy Bakery im in. Anomaly units down the line would benefit her the most because PHYS anomaly hits like a truck, with ICE anomaly and ether anomaly chars, i think her value will increase drastically but its too early to say the least
Oh nah you needn't worry my friend. Jane is made to be played in a disorder team. Ahem ahem some kit "dreams" below. Jane's anomaly application increases when she's attacking enemy with another anomaly effect on them (core passive), basically made for disorder. And if you're worried about losing assault damage by playing in a disorder team like pokke said. Don't be, her assaults can crit :)
@@justdeepfried8236her core passive only mentions “suffers from an attribute anomaly” so it applies to all anomaly state including assault so physical anomaly team is still viable with her and piper or neko
@@gestily Everything is viable, disorder is just optimal since repeated triggers of the same anomaly causes it to build up slower. But Jane dual dps and Jane hypercarry works too :)
pull It is good/cool that you mentioned the Feels of a unit being the most important criteria because it is for that reason I won't pull for Ellen. She is one of the clunkiest unit to use for me.
I think I like zhu yuan, Lucy, koleda way too much to consider qingshi. Koleda especially has so much intangibility on her attacks (like nothing in the game hits her when she’s midair) and her follow-up covers so much space. Lucy + koleda is genuinely the smoothest two characters in the game together. Qingshi for me would have to justify dropping both and I honestly don’t see it.
The only thing I have gripes with regarding Qingyi/Zhu Yuan, is that the ether set requires you to apply anomaly to a target to start scaling up, so even though she is a burst dps, she can deal decent damage while waiting for energy on Nicole or your fast stunner, while you work your way closer to ether anomaly. Qingyi will stun the enemy with 0 ether anomaly build up so no stacks on your ether set, crit set requires a dodge counter which you won't get with the enemy stunned + your EX skill will have harder time being available since again you not on fielding Zhu to get energy, hormone punk seems like a better fit, but you lose on ether or crit and even worse damage out of stun with that 50% uptime and conditioning... and then it crashes with the second problem (in my case), Soldier's weapon needs field time to be stacked for this burst rotation and hormone punk stacks more attack over the attack of this weapon... haven't checked how much diminishing return it is. So I feel I rather wait for an ether stunner for my cop, instead of switching her whole play style (which I'm really enjoying right now) around a 30% increase (in paper) with stricter damage windows.
I have the same thought just as you. I want to abuse that ether set on Yuan so bad that I even build Nicole with 4 anomaly set + 2 energy set so that Yuan can really start to build up that Corruption thing. An ether stunner, even if it's A character, I will take it anyway.
The thing is, it will take really long time maybe a year for now. And even when that day Come there will better Dps than zhu yuan. On top we don't know if that ether Stun unit will work really well with zhu yuan kit, qingyi is basically will be BIS for Burst dps for a long time
@forcodingg1287 If that does happen, so be it, pulling for the detriment of my current gameplay experience now, is in my opinion, worse than waiting for an improvement down the line for a character I'm enjoying currently (one that is already clearing it's Shiyu side with less than 2 30 minutes without Qingyi) And I'm personally inclining to roll for anomaly dpses in the future, instead of attackers, so even if this new "better" dps does come (that needs to be a burst ether attacker which is less likely than an ether stunner) if I don't pull for it either, my wait continues.
@@forcodingg1287 that's true, but an ether stunner is just a cherry on top, not the whole point of making ether set works. That bonus %crit dmg when an enemy is corrupted is insane, but it's not always easy to trigger it. However, Yuan's suppressive mode + her EX + her fast animation + anomaly set on sombody else make this build possible. Ether stunner just makes that process even faster, whether if it fits yuan or not. Yuan doesn't have to be played entirely around crit/crit dmg. If any support/defender out there that can buff anomaly proficiency, Yuan can also benefit from that.

My point is try criticize you on meta perspective, like i said we don't know what future ether stun or better qingyi gonna be. So it's hard to recommend to people to wait for that "Ether stun" or a better stunner than qingyi for zhu when we dont even know how this character work in the first place. Qingyi will be Zhu BIS for pretty long time, they might drop a better ver of nicole first than a better qingyi. And you might clear shiyu defense Comfortably right now, but will it be the case in 2.x with exact comps, time will tell
Qingyi looking strong with that stun multiplier… it’s the main reason Lycaon is S rank. I’ve been using Koleda but I sure feel bad she doesn’t have any stun multiplier. Might need her on rerun, I’m out of polies after Zhu Yuan.
People call Ellen an on field dps but most of her damage still comes stun windows using her ult. The only real difference between Ellen and Zhu is that Ellen can still do respectable damage outside stuns. Whether it be Ellen, Zhu or with any crit dps, you always want to stun asap because crit dps rely on stun windows to do most of their damage. Qingyi is gonna be the best in slot stunner for any non ice crit dps for a long time (spoilers: no other limited stunner is on the horizon for a very long time). It looks like stunners in this game will have the same scarcity as sustains in HSR.
They're not wrong, she is an on field dps. Her dmg is not frontloaded like Zhu, but is consistent throughout. Every character is going to deal more dmg when the enemy is stunned, it's that simple. However characters like Zhu fall off very hard when the enemy is not stunned, but Ellen doesn't. When comparing them to hsr, Ellen is like Acheron or DHIL, they can brut force enemies regardless of weakness and don't care if the enemy is broken/stunned, but when broken, they can do increased dmg using the break dmg multiplier. Zhu Yuan is like Firefly. She doesn't do dmg until the enemy is broken/stunned, and when they are, she unloads her dmg. So for Acheron, making her on element and breaking the enemy is ideal and will give her the most dmg, but she still clears without breaking. For firefly, she needs to be broken to do any dmg Ellen can brute force through the enemy and not need to stun the enemy to defeat them. It's the reason why she's said to be the only dps in the game that can easily solo the bosses. Now this becomes important in deciding whether she needs a stun or an extra support. I can see a future where characters like Ellen will be run with either 2 limited supports with crazy passive buffs or a support and an Anomaly just to max her dmg. But for Zhu Yuan, you'll ALWAYS need to run a stunner cos her kit depends on it
@senseioct8564 Exactly! But Soukaku is really slow tho. But you get the gist. Lycon has 15% ice res down and so is really good. But imagine an ice support with say 30% ice pen and with attack buff and say ultimate buff. Yeah, no more stunner
Although Ellen also want stun her damage during stun window isnt as explosive as a Burst DPS like Zhu Yuan , instead she evens out the damage in and ouside enemy stunned state, so if you use Ellen with an onfield Daze like QingYi she lost the potential damage she could've done outside of stun window because lack of fieldtime. comparably a Burst Daze who doesn't take much field time allow her to be at her max potential. the opposite is true for Zhu Yuan. So I think people call Ellen onfield DPS and ZY Burst DPS to distinguish the two archetypes, not that she doesn't want/need stun. Overall onfield DPS+Burst Daze are better against multiple low toughness enemies. Burst+onfield Daze is better against high toughness single enemy.
Jane Doe all the way, already clearing critical shiyu like nothing with Ellen's team and ZY's team with Anby so, a no brainer really to go for JD and start prepping a 3rd team for her.🐀
The best choice would be to pull for both Qinyi and Jane... This new meta team likely be you're best 2nd team if you already have Ellen Lycaon since Qinyi Jane and Seth compliments each other (Anomaly + stunner + Anomaly Buffer Shielder)
Am I trolling if I skip Qingyi to swap for lvl40 Anby as F2P? Currently got Zhu Yuan/Anby/Nicole Then S11/Koleda/Lucy I don’t need to pull right? Could even try for M6 Anby later for better value? I don’t have much Denny’s atm and I’m at IK44 so I’m probably doing disk farming for a while here
100% but there's still a chance future characters will come packaged with their own stunner for best synergy. if they comes in with a buffer/debuffer then qingyi will for sure be the BiS for attacker units
Besides a dedicated Support, doesn't an Anomaly unit tend to walk better with another Anomaly unit? Especially for Assault cause it can proc all the dmg over time like Shock or Burn to deal huge Disorder dmg. And pull btw.
Anomaly units do want Disorder, but a second Anomaly unit isn't mandatory for Disorder. Current Anomaly units have fairly selfish Attacker-like kits so they aren't necessarily ideal together
@@Yanick_th Well that's true. So u either run them with an Attacker or still need another Anomaly cause a Sup or Stun alone cannot build up an Anomaly rate fast enough, right? For ex, a very popular team is S11 Piper Lucy. Unless ur running a mono element like Shock but I think that's more suitable for dps-overtime type of Anomaly or else ur gonna lose a lot of dmg due to downtime and cooldown of Assault
@@Dzukari Attacker units in principle aren't synergistic with Anomaly units. Piper for example has no business being in a team with S11 once we get Qingyi
You could probably use piper if you don’t have grace and just use her as a sub dps when her skill meter is gets full, the gnaw from Jane can also buff pipers crit so it can work pretty good I think and all their cores work with eachother on the team
Pull From some napkin maths I did for Jane: She is very much a dolphin character. Assuming 1800 pre-combat atk (1919 with sig for atk difference), and these are just pure damage output numbers: 100%: W1 Signature (max stacks, not including 40% buildup passive) 101%: W5 BP Weapon Electro Lipgloss 87%: W1 Electro Lipgloss 85%: W5 Rainforest Gourmet (Assuming 6 stacks) ~80%: W5 Weeping Gemini (No disorder) 73%: W1 Weeping Gemini I don't know Jane's uptime and how well she can keep applying assault, if assuming low end she generates 3 assaults per rotation, her signature gets her an additional assault proc a rotation over every other option. Which means baseline her signature can pull ahead by over **39%** of her second best option. This is less that Jane REQUIRES her signature to be good, as much as her signature potentially can be one of the biggest DPS increases possible. F2P Jane and Dolphin Jane differences are like mid-boss to final boss. But for M1 vs W1 pull for Jane; M0W1 vs M1 F2P is 9% difference 91% Gourmet (6 stacks), and 13% for 87% W5 Lipgloss. TL:DR : M1 for full F2P M0 fine for BP buyers M0W1 for optimal DPS M1W1 for dolphin investment final boss damage increase --- Also, just guessing from how Jane's mechanics work. Anby Seth Jane is going to be a really potent combo. Jane wants a lot of field time, but she also wants to chain attack to refresh her passion. And since Anby can be played as burst stun, is on banner, and M4 builds energy for Seth, it feels like a really tight team comp. Also pulling for Jane sig can get Demara copies for Qingyi if you pull both
I think if her passion state doesn't pause when switching out on other agents, then she's mostly on field and needs an off field or fast anomaly build up agents during downtime of assault proc because crit assault is her primary focus.
I cannot decide if I want to go for qingyi. I have Koleda and Anby, and I’m going to get lycoan. So do I need qingyi? Idk but I know she would be awesome with zhu yuan
Qingyi increases Zhu Yuans burst rotation damage by around 30% compared to Anby. I would say she is definitely worth considering. She is for Zhu Yuan what Lycaon is for Ellen.
yo this is my first gacha I need help, I want to pull for every character that comes out, but I don't want to waste too much money, cause I prefer to keep my experience as F2P as possible. So far I have only bought the 4.99€ daily polychromes, is this enough? or should I also buy the other 9.99€ battle pass?
Going after every character is a horrible choice as a low spender and f2p, it better to make an alternative acc for that. In that way you could plan out who will benefit you most and spending less
It would be virtually impossible to get every character that comes out as a FTP/light spender. This being your first gacha game, I'll say this: be careful. These games are designed to pray on your FOMO. You definitely will not NEED every new character. It's better to plan out who you are willing to pull for based on your personal preference of design and play style. If you like the play style and design of EVERYONE, then you'll need to rank who's most important in your view. Don't forget the fact that there will be reruns of banners that you missed in the future.
The battle pass is mainly for the additional Dennies, Character EXP, and W engine EXP. Along with the weapon, only the support one stands out. Look at the rewards and see if its worth the $10. It is the next best value after the 5$ monthly but it does not help you pull characters much.

Neko assault team ?? Is it really good cuz i have her + i like her but don’t know what team she fits in 😅.. and i think pulling dps is better unless the former assault team is that cracked then u might pull for a stun unit
@@luczakj8053nekomata is pretty good with piper and lucy since she needs assault to gain her damage boosts that is also her main detriment though, since she needs a lot of conditions to fulfill to gain her damage boosts such as backstab (wengine), dodge counters, and assault. it's not that much of a problem if you generally play well, but the limited dps' right now require much less for way better damage
@@alvaropast lol wrong, qing yi is a universal unit, she's great but get overshadowed to a more dedicated stunner. that's why people still prefer lycaon on an ice to begin with. She'll be replaced in the long run.
