Suggestion for a detail: when u look closely at the finger placement of every agent in cs2 , u will find out that every terrorist has his finger on the trigger and every counter terrorist has his finger off the trigger . ( visible only when inspecting the agents )
Suggestion for a detail: In Code Vein, if you leave your character idle for about 2 minutes in a bed at Home Base, they will begin falling asleep, closing their eyes and leaning their head to their left. At around 7 minutes left idle, they will turn onto their left side, having fully fallen asleep. Pressing the cancel button from there, your character will get up, and stretch once they've gotten out of bed as if they've just had a very nice nap. It's a small thing that Bandai Namco went out of their way to include in it.
@@ChrisBeYT I was genuinely surprised the first time I saw it. I had just come back from an excursion to... somewhere, but then I realized I needed more snacks and drinks and there's a 7-Eleven within walking distance of my house. So I plopped my character into the bed and headed out. When I came back, they were on their side, fast asleep. (The walk to and from the 7-Eleven is about 15 minutes total, by the way) ...it wasn't until the other day when I actually decided to check how long it actually takes.
In the game Ground Branch, you are able to shoot a gun in the middle of a reload animation, doing so will obviously make it to where there is no bullet in the chamber. When you go to shoot once the reload animation is over, your weapon won't fire and you have to load another round into the chamber to fire again.
Fun fact: in cult of the lamb if you kill sozo ( the little mushroom guy) and butcher them neat attention to detail will occur ( it takes a while to get sozo tho)
Basically the only thing that game has going for it is the weapon animators. They got some really good talent for the gun designs and animations, but the rest of the game is sloppy as hell.
I think there's also trigger discipline details in Helldivers 2. They leave their finger off the trigger when idle, reloading, or at any break interval between fire bursts. The only time they keep the finger on the trigger is when they're aiming.
In the Darkness 2 you get the opposite of "good trigger discipline"! It's one of the few games that your character's trigger fingers actually move as you pull your trigger and relax if you let go!
Heyo Captain, I really enjoyed the trigger discipline detail. It regularly bothers me when games don't show good trigger discipline and I always notice when they don't. Which leads me to why i am commenting. The fairly new Palworld game has you using handguns and rifles in the late game and I noticed very quickly it is a game that shows off great trigger discipline. Your character will keep their finger off the trigger until you aim down the sights and are ready to fire, and if you are viewing it from the side as another player you can even see the minor detail of the finger squeezing the trigger whenever the player shoots. It is small, but probably perfect for this series.
haha I was looking to see if anyone else caught that. It shows very poor trigger discipline because your finger should remain on the trigger if you're pointing your firearm at a target you intend to destroy. You take your finger off the trigger when you return to a high or low ready stance. Not while you're still pointing.
I don't know if its been covered but there's more to the license plates in Alan Wake 2. Each of the posters, mostly found in the subway, is a reference to a manuscript pages from Alan Wake 1 and American Nightmare. The signs in the Subway have platform stations like Don't Write or Save Alice.
Regarding the trigger discipline detail, metal gear solid 4 has this. Whenever a character is reloading or just running around with a gun equipped, their finger is off the trigger.
A hidden detail in GTAV you can only access with mods: There's a livery for the Comet S2 unavailable to apply at LSC, which references Johnny Silverhand's Porsche 930 from Cyberpunk.
@@helveteisme You forget that the regular S2 was released much earlier than the convee version. And that original variant had the livery first and it is A. well known that it has it and B. still not available, though it could be. If you look at it rationally, this counts as a hidden detail because it was quite literally hidden.
@@phil955 i mean if you want to look at it that way then wouldnt almost everything be a hidden detail? all those dev testing rooms you can find by glitching yourself out of the map would be a hidden detail, except it isnt since the devs clearly dont want any players accessing it - or things like outfits and models in game files that never made it to the final version that can be brought back with mods would also be hidden details, like it literally doesnt make any sense lol
My favorite detail in AW 2's Dark Place is that the signs all over the place include narration from Alan Wake 1. One of the most prevalent is the one from the opening segment of the game going like "Following a typical nightmare pattern, I was late"
Fact: in the Project Breach cqb fps(mobile), press play and choose bunker map. And after you enter game not enter bunker and try to go to that one truck . after look at truck's back and you will see funny easter egg!

Hey Captain Eggcellent I mentioned this one a couple weeks ago. It gave me a good laugh when I found it. In The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe when you get to the new content in the deluxe version (the area with the jump circle and the hole) you can find papers on the walls and at the bottom of the hole that have the lyrics to the song “Just the 2 of us” from Bill Withers. This is pretty funny considering the entire time it literally is just Stanley and the Narrator the whole time. I nice little piece of comedy.

Regarding other games with trigger discipline, a good amount of VR shooters have this feature. Mostly because the controllers can detect when the player has their finger on the trigger.
Not sure if you’ve covered this one before, but in Red Dead Redemption 2, if you get onboard the train and drive it around the map, the smoke will hinder your vision, if you move the camera around, your vision will become clear again
Ground Branch has trigger discipline when the gun is the low ready or high ready position, but when hip aimed or aiming down sights your finger is on the trigger, which makes complete sense from a realism standpoint.
I don’t know if you already covered this but in Saints Row The Third Remastered (also the original I think) when you’re driving with a location pinpointed and you follow the path the game gives you, your turning lights go on every time you have to make a turn
Suggestion for a detail: In Anger Foot, if you wear the Holy Sandals, not only will you be able to be resurrected, you will have the ability to also walk on water.
I think the hard hats at 1:50 are an Easter egg. Let me explain, the hard hats look very familiar to the ones that the Mets use in the Mega Man series. Same color helmet, same green sign
Spec Ops: The Line also has an easy to miss trigger discipline detail: the longer the game goes on, the worse Walker's gets. At the start he only has his finger on the trigger when firing and will remove it while in cover, by the end of the game it's always on the trigger.
So I just found a detail you might like, in Dying Light 2 most weapon descriptions are normal or puns based on the name, but the description for the "Wise Katana" weapon is actually a Haiku describing its power
Of all games, the divers in Helldivers 2 have good trigger discipline. Even with things such as rocket launchers and machine guns, your character will keep their finger off of the trigger if they aren't actively firing
I think that little Trigger Discipline in SCP is my favorite from this video. It's so incredibly rare for any game to show this kind of subtle detail, but it really is the mark of a pro.
I play alot of trackmania and one of my favorite details in it is when the car flips over a bar comes out to protect the drivers head and than when and if your able to flip back over the bar slowly retracks
Trigger discipline is also shown In hunt showdown. The hunter will keep his whole wrist and trigger finger in low ready stance until you actually aim the weapon, then he takes a breath and goes into fire position when you ads then fires with finger on click

In Dying Light 2 with the weapons update new animations were included, it also shows Trigger Discipline, while reloading or holding the weapon, as well as defending, Aiden will have the finger off the trigger
@@CaptainEggcellent while aiming he does, but if you reload or block any attack with the weapon (and also on the cutscenes where he picks a gun) you see how his finger is not on the trigger but on the metal part above it

MGS4 & MGS5 both have the same detail regarding trigger discipline, if the player fires the gun then Snake/Big Boss will put their fingers on the trigger, only to then move it off again if you don't fire after a while. I think a few Tom Clancy games also do this, which is pretty impressive considering they are third-person games with distant camera views so a small detail like that wouldn't normally be considered.
Now there are two details in Return of the Mammalians, Splatoon 3’s single player mode, that I think are really cool. The first detail involves Smallfry, the player character’s Salmonid buddy. If you are idle in Alterna and Smallfry is out of the pouch on your back, he will hum the most famous song made by the Squid Sisters: Calamari Inkantation. It seems the Octolings weren’t the only moved by that song. And the second detail involves your character’s Skill Tree, though you unfortunately have to make two separate Switch users and be an Inkling on one Switch user and an Octoling on the other Switch user to notice this, but the Skill Tree looks normal, but if you look really closely, you will notice that the Skill Tree has an outline of the Swim Form of the species you chose to play as. If you chose Inkling, the Skill Tree’s outline is the Swim Form of the Inklings, while if you chose Octoling, the Skill Tree’s outline is the Swim Form of the Octolings. It’s a pretty neat detail that blew my mind, and is a shame not a lot of people notice because a lot of people just choose to play as Octolings in Splatoon 3.
Just a little one, unsure if you've covered before - in Far Cry 5 there are wanted posters that appear every now and then with your character on them. Cool little detail.
I think I found a hidden detail similar to the train blocking you from going out of bounds in Hitman. I was replaying Rise of the Tomb Raider and there's a mission where you have to take a short cut through a cave with Jacob, I think to get to his village. If you turn around when the game cuts to you in the cave and walk the path to where you came in, rocks will fall and cave in, preventing you from leaving. It just happened to cave in when Jacob said it was safe. 😭
Don't know if this is in other games or has been covered. But in Crysis 2 + 3, possibly 1 as well. If you reload a gun that uses bullets when the mag isn't empty, the gun will have a full mag plus one in the chamber. This is also reflected in the ammo indicator.
In the new Avatar Game DLC in the first RDA Facility you break into after your first interaction with the RDA you will enter an elevator go through a shaft and you will be above a trash compactor with a poll jamming the walls like in Star Wars @CaptainEggcellent
In black ops 2, in the mission old wounds if you decide to not get on your horse, if you look around enough there is a sword you can pick up and use in the mission.
Detail I Experienced: In cyberpunk, when your with Panam Palmer In (I think the 3rd mission) the Van, she’ll ask you if you’ve lost anyone, V can tell Panam About Jackie, (I thought it was a throwaway line) later in the mission when you are with panam and the veteran nomads at a Campfire. when you choose the “Drink to Scorpion” extra dialogue option after rasing the toast to the fallen, Panam will say:“and to Jackie Wells” Just Something Interesting I noticed as it was happening.
Small sugestion for a future detail video! In Blasphemous (the first one), when you are fighting against Isidora the voice of the Death and you try to pause or change your equipment in mid-battle a Secret message Will pop-up, and you Will not be able of pause the game, being the only boss (that i saw) that have this detail
in satisfactory, there are some naruto and cowbow easter eggs with the emotes and other things. sometimes, when doing "clap" emote, the player will instead do jutsu hand signs that shoots out red bugs in multiplayer, when sprinting, the animation will do naruto run. lastly, when doing "twirl" emote, the ADA system will sometimes say one of 3 cowboy-like lines checked out the wiki cuz triggered the clap thing myself once yesterday, but cant get it again so idk enough
Suggestion for Detail: in Infamous second son, if you use the smoke ability and try the smoke bomb on water ( like the founten next to the space needle) the bomb wont explode because its in water. Love this detail

This isn't a big deal nowadays but back then it was impressive, in Duke Nukem Time to Kill you can find toilets sometimes and duke can actually relieve himself, in the 1st stage when entering the subway you will find a few vending machines, a soda machine and a cigarette machine, interacting with the soda machine will give you health while using the cigarette machine will make you lose health indicating that smoking is bad for your health, another one is the giant bird thing boss fight, it's usual attacks is shooting fire ball and the stage has place where you can dive underwater, do just that and the boss can't attack you with it's fireball unless you surface and anyfire ball shot will disappear when it hits the water, like I said nothing new these days but back then it was impressive details.
In Mass Effect Legendary Edition the default Female Shepard’s hair changes slightly in between games. In ME 1 and 2 her hair is messy and unkempt and in 3 it’s much less messy. It’s super small but I think it’s worth pointing out.
There's an idle animation in Zenless Zone Zero where during the exploration missions where you navigate through the tv sets, if you sit still for a minute or two your Bangboo avatar falls asleep
Suggestion for detail: In Urban Chaos: Riot response (old but such an underrated game) on the news broadcasts at the start of each level has the actual time that's on your console (works on Xbox, not sure about PS2)

I believe there’s a neat detail in Little Kitty, Big City. Occasionally if you get close to the people walking around they will sneeze. I take that to mean they could be allergic to cats.
Have you covered the details in Delta Force : Black Hawk Down ? For exemple, if you kill a team-mate in certain mission, an helicopter will come with medics and extract the body. (Possible in Mission 3 : River Raid)

Fun detail in Saints Row the third in the mission party time the elevator code is 3131 which is a reference to Saints Row 1’s mission all the kings men where Stefan will give the playa the same number for the elevator in that mission.

From what I've heard, there is a detail in GTA Online. There's these things called stash houses and after you break into one, you have to break into a safe and retrieve it's contents. Well if you go to enter the code on the safe but don't enter the code and go afk, your character will stare at the camera as if they're telling you to hurry up.
