Theory: The boy that they saw in the windows was actually murdered by the man. He was gesturing to them to persuade them to come get their cousin before it was too late. When the man came back at night (from the stories that he haunts the farm and returns every night), the boy disappeared because he was scared. The man was probably dragging along a bag containing the dead boy (explaining the putrid smell and the extra tud) and was probably trying to find somewhere to hide it.

In the middle of the video I heard my room door open and I screamed. I looked and saw no one there, but then I looked down and saw my dog standing there with the cutest face ever! My door was not fully closed so my dog could open it by pushing his head against the door. Anyways, that is my short story of my dog who scared the hell out of me.

Loved this! Seriously, you animate such great stories! It makes me wonder if the ghost of the boy was in playback mode with his own murder, which could explain the smells and the fact there was blood everywhere except for the fact the police couldn't find anything! The fact that he couldn't hear his cousins calling for him nor the police searching for him (who, as they said, didn't find him when they searched that house) leads me to believe he was transferred to a parallel reality while he was in the house. Maybe this is why he didn't see anyone when he turned around, because the things that happen/the entities that live in there are only visible once you are inside. This could also explain why he can't see the blood on the stairs once he is out of the house at 5:02 but the blood is clearly there while he is still inside running at 4:51
