Please rethink the title (and thumbnail). Admittedly I haven't watched the video, but naming a video about Hideki Tojo "Bringing Japan Into The Pacific War", is akin to naming a video about Hitler "Taking Germany Into Tumultuous Times". Not wholly inaccurate, but really?

Please, for heaven's sake, please stop using the rising sun flag for the Japanese Empire. It's so disappointing and frustrating to see that even a channel as great as this falls into this amateurish mistake. Japan's civil flag during WWII, that is, the counterpart to those of other countries in this video and elsewhere, was a red dot on a white background. Even a quick Wikipedia search would let you see that. Stop spreading this misconception. Please.

⬛American historians don't learn history at all, so their propaganda is incessant to hear ... 😊 It is clear that the basis of them is the purpose of scapegoating, with all of Japan losing responsibility for the war. Knowing this and spreading it, they can no longer be thought of as crazy people before they say historians ... patriots ...Mental illness Why is Tojo a racist? I don't understand at all. And, in Christianity would like to say that the emperor is not a god ... However, if you follow him, it is historically the United States that you will reach 神武天皇 Emperor Jimmu, the myth of the founding of Japan, but it noone cannot be denied. … Don't you criticize those who don't understand the meaning of other cultures? Fact that Japanese soldiers are falsely accused of their war criminals." I think it's the big problem in American history. ⬛Your theory is ridiculous from the beginning. Why continue to pursue the responsibility of the emperor? Many people may have been brainwashed by the United States and misunderstood, but "the victory or defeat of war is the strong or weak of power and has nothing to do with justice." It is strange to say that Japan is a "war criminal" because it was just defeated ... what? The representative of the Japanese army, who was executed as a so-called A-class war criminal who was stigmatized by the victorious country, is also a defeated country. The person in charge, that is, the leader. It's just a show of revenge ... The winner judges the loser ... there is no right or qualification ... if it were in that era, only the belief of the ruler, who was covered in the evil desires of white supremacism ... In other words, why were the Japanese soldiers punished? What is the sin? There is only one reason for defeating. In other words, is it the defeat = war crime that the American judgment is strange? It is too stupid. I want to say how long they going to make Japan take all the responsibility for the war and make a scapegoat. Taiwanese historian Ko Bun'yu also said, "Japanese has liberated more slaves than Lincoln. It was given instead of being robbed of its name by Soshi-kaimei (giving the Japanese name to those who wished)." "If Japan had only one wrong thing ... it was a loss." Isn't it embarrassing for America, which was founded by the theory of Christianity? Rubbing responsibility to Japan for making up forever ... 3 anti-Japanese country want to need and America needs too History Academia made own only compared to the Nazis war criminal as hero America Written by Stupid Hypocrite the Winner at the Center of the World. We know lying in American history. How long do you really believe in the history of Korean and Chinese fabrications? What the United States was working on behind the scenes of Nanjing and the comfort women issue … why? It's a simple. That's because like a evil Japan for America needed... For the desires of MacArthur and the barbaric white supremacist ruler And Chiang Kai-shek's propaganda advertising department? And Roosevelt Group had already signed a contract in 1938 ... The most troublesome thing about Chiang Kai-shek and Chinese propaganda is to make themselves assailant changes we are the victims ...and enemy country (Japan) claim that Deceived as the position of damage caused by one's own harm Disseminate FAKE information that we are victim such a terrible thing by the Japanese army Substituting the victim for the perpetrator ... "Win without fighting" 🔴[Truman's 3S Policy] This story cannot be underestimated This is an important point in solving the brainwashing of the people. "Recognizing brainwashing" is important for cancellation. US President "Truman" To enslave Japan, a defeated country they used the 3S policy "Sex, sports, screen" Let the people's pleasure be directed to this Policy that does not draw attention to politics It was exactly the Japanese folklore policy. ⬛MacArthur talks about the Japanese: "If we measure with modern civilization, if we are 45, the Japanese are like a 12-year-old boy. The Japanese can accept new models and new ideas. It is possible to instill a basic concept in Japan. By nature, they are endowed with the ability to flexibly accept new concepts. " 🔷 Harry S. Truman "We keep monkeys (Japanese) in a cage named'False Freedom'. The method only needs to give them some luxury and convenience. And release sports, screens and sex (3S). Now you can turn your eyes away from the truth. Because monkeys are our livestock. Livestock contribute to us as our masters Naturally. Therefore, the body of livestock, which is also our property, You have to make it longevity. Make them sick (with chemicals, etc.) and keep them alive. This will keep us harvesting. This is also the authority of the victorious country. " ⬛ Also, on August 11, President Truman left the following comment in response to the telegram of the US-Christian Church Federation's protest against the dropping of the atomic bomb. "Thank you for the telegram dated August 9. No one is as traumatized by the use of the atomic bomb as I am. However, I was also very traumatized by Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor without a declaration of war and the massacre of prisoners of war. The only word that the Japanese understand seems to be that we drop the atomic bomb on the Japanese. When you come into contact with a beast, you must treat it as a beast. It's a shame, but that's the truth. " ⬛Nelson Mandela ◇Discrimination is the disease of the soul. It kills more people than any infective disease. The tragedy is that we have not discovered its treatment, which is in our reach. ⬛ Judge Railing's Diary 1946 ・ February Tomoyuki Yamashita ・ Execution of Army General He said in a military court in Manila, "I'm not ashamed of what I did…." Yamashita was a great man, not a criminal. It was just an enemy. ⬛ Professor Emeritus Shoichi Watanabe of Sophia University said, "Now is the truth of the'Pal Judgment'that cuts off the view of the history of the Tokyo trial." Summary The following two points are listed at the beginning, and the Tokyo Tribunal is claimed to be invalid. Really interesting. (1) The prosecution's side at the Tokyo Tribunal said, "This is a judgment of civilization, and by punishing the leader of the war of aggression, we will deter the outbreak of war in the future. The claim that "it has the purpose of making the international community safe" is that the Korean War broke out "before the ink of the sentence was fragile." It collapsed with the participation of many countries in the world. It is the end of the war between the judges of the Tokyo Tribunal. It is not a "civilization trial" at all. (2) Marshal MacArthur, who made the court ordinance (charter) of the Tokyo Tribunal, At the beginning of May 1945, just two and a half years after the execution of the so-called Class A war criminals, At the Senate Military Tribunal Joint Committee, one of the supreme institutions on military diplomacy in the United States, he officially testified to completely deny the Tokyo Tribunal. ⬛MacArthur concludes by testifying: ”Their (Japanese) purpose, therefore, in going to war was largely dictated by security.」 The reason why the Tribunal Ordinance was created in the first place is that "at that time, there was no international law to establish the Tokyo Tribunal." MacArthur himself, who made the court ordinance, said, "Japan did not have a war of aggression. It was a self-defense war. " Chief Prosecutor Keenan was involved in the drafting of the Court Ordinance. This is also a completely unjustified story, and it is a proof that the prosecutor's accusation was a trial that was decided according to the prosecutor's statement, such as making provisions for the trial. About the MacArthur Ordinance (Charter) Judge Pal denounced the words "killing civilization" as follows. "To make a so-called trial according to the definition of crime given today by the winner is kills the centuries-old civilization that lies between our time and the old days of the immediate killing of the losers. " I wonder why these scholars continue to say that Japan has invaded. And do you call the Imperial Army racism to Europe? I'm not sure. Japan opposed the invasion of the Christian world and the Asian colonies of white supremacists ... Thailand and Japan were the only independent countries at that time ... From the perspective of Japan, the guardian deity of Asia, they are the same as the CCP now ... ⬛ According to international law, the United States Lose the position of questioning Pearl Harbor to Japan at the time of military aid to China. However, the United States was a coward who started a war by doing a military business behind the war with "remember" and always promoting "the other party as a coward" ...Sneak Attack ☺️ Fact that Japanese soldiers are falsely accused of their war criminals." I think it's the big problem in American history.

It's always interesting looking at the Japanese perspective on the war, and the contradictions within it. They (and Tojo) had really solid ground for their rejection of European and American racism, but then chose courses of action that were at least as bad, and in many ways worse, obliterating that high ground. And reading between the lines, it seems like so many actions were justified with deference to the Emperor, then they filtered so much of the information that reached him that his perspective could hardly be considered whole. At such a critical juncture, it seems no one thought to actually tell the Emperor about the nomination of Prince Higashikuni and check if he would approve it.

I think Konoe was for a Higashikuni premiership when he resigned but the emperor refused because he believed imperial family members should not hold ministerial positions which are below them. Kuomintang Publicity Section fabricated all these photos of so-called “Japanese soldiers” wearing Japanese outfits made in China to distribute in the US for raising funds through Chang-kai Shek’s wife, Mei-sou Lin. The CCP is using these photos today to create hatred to break through the First Island Chain. Ask yourself if you can really show the bayonet photo, or name and the date of the newspaper you talked about of the “Japanese soldiers.” Are they really Japanese? You should really read the proper book if you want to pretend you know something about regional history. Throughout history, it is the Chinese who are the racist of the region. It is in their traditional philosophy, Confucianism and Sinocentrism. Officially, they were racists towards other nations because they believe the Hans are superior. Read their original history books. On the other hand, can you think of any evidence to show that the Japanese were racist in any part of their history? The recent “wolf warrior diplomacy” of the CCP is nothing new in the region. The Hans was always like that in history. The west was fooled because they were trying to learn from fabricated history. A hardworking and efficient bureaucrat, Tōjō was also one of the most aggressive militarists in the Japanese leadership. He led his country’s war efforts after the attack on the U.S. military base at Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941, and under his direction smashing victories were initially scored throughout Southeast Asia and the western Pacific region. After a series of Japanese military reverses in the Pacific, Tōjō assumed virtual dictatorial powers, taking over the post of the chief of the General Staff.

@@graystoke8229 No, there are many politicians who come from a military background. @@graystoke8229 They wanted to keep the facade of the civilian government and as well as getting the Zaibatsu support, so outside private entrepreneurs are also key advisors to the government. But the military is actually divided to two components, one is the administrative ministers (army and navy ministers) who are cabinet members and are selected by the navy to be their representatives in the government. The other is the commanding component (both army and navy chief of staff), who are the general command of the entire military and only answers to the Emperor. They are not directly responsible to the cabinet and the latter has no way to control them.

It is interesting how the aggressive powers in WW2 had similar misconceptions about what powers like the UK and US would find acceptable. Hitler did not originally think a conquest of the UK would be necessary, surely they would negotiate terms if France fell, right, right? Same here it seems, surely the US won't intervene in our war efforts in Asia, right? I don't know if they thought us too cynical, too complacent or both, maybe they were basing their belief off of what the US and UK already allowed them to get away with.

Well-done, and I especially appreciated how you revealed how Pres Woodrow Wilson’s racism played a big part in causing Tojo’s inveterate distrust of and hatred of the West… I would have liked to see you further explain how at the end of the Meiji Period, there was an almost total dehiscence between the civil government of Japan and the two largely autonomous branches of the military: the IJA and Kwantung Army on the one hand; and the IJN on the other. This “politico-bureaucratic nightmare-much more than any purported “lack of willpower” or skill-contributed to Prime Minister Konoe’s fall from power. He was truly Japan’s last hope for peace, yet even American Secretary of State Hull knew Konoe’s “authority” over the IJA and IJN was severely limited, and that negotiations and agreements with him were thus largely pointless.
