this is like one of those moments in a movie when someone the main character loved dies and they get pissed and go ham and shit on the villain and it's like all epic and shit lol
You know, I always imagine that this is the song that plays when Gouken and Akuma have their final fight. I like to think that Akuma lost to Gouken in their fight at the end of SFIV and because of that, Akuma began giving himself to the Satsui no Hado, becoming more violent and feral (explaining his appearance in SFV). Seeing his brother has become a monster, Gouken knows what he must do to protect the innocent: he must kill Akuma. I imagine their fight would go a little something like this: 0:00 Gouken finds Akuma on a volcanic island in the Pacific. Gouken approaches his brother, making one last attempt to convince him to abandon the Satsui no Hado. Gouken reminds Akuma of the friendship they had as children while under Goutetsu's tutelage, and Gouken says he longs to have that friendship with his brother again. 1:19 Akuma, while he appears slightly stirred by Gouken's words, quickly composes himself and rejects Gouken's offer. Akuma states that he knows exactly why Gouken came here: for a fight to the death, something Akuma is all to willing to give him. Gouken, though grieved by Akuma's words, becomes resolute and both fighters assume their battle stances. 1:46 The battle begins. Two warriors in a fight to death. Akuma and his Satsui no Hado vs. Gouken and his Mu no Ken. 2:15 At this point in the fight, Gouken remembers how he and Akuma used to spar together as children, with the fight cutting back and forth between scenes of them fighting each other as children to the far more brutal fight that is happening now. 2:47 The fight continues 3:15 As the fight continues, Akuma remembers when he began his descent into the Satsui no Hado, cutting back and forth again between the fight and Akuma's rise to power (the day he left the dojo, the day he killed Goutetsu, the day Gouken defeated him, and the day he nearly killed Gouken with the Shun Goku Satsu). 3:43 Gouken proves himself victorious over Akuma. With Akuma lying on the ground beaten, Gouken apologizes to him. Though he knows Akuma chose his own path, Gouken feels that he is partially responsible for the road Akuma went down. Gouken says that he is sorry for not being there for Akuma, that maybe he should have gone after him when Akuma left the dojo. With great grief, Gouken raises his fist to deliver the final blow. 4:30 As Gouken throws his finishing punch, the attack is caught by Akuma who, now full with hatred, begins to overflow with the Satsui no Hado. Storm clouds form overhead as a thunder can be heard in the distance. Akuma raises his hand skyward and is struck by a bolt of lightning. Akuma is no more. Oni has awakened!
@wyr Kgan Actually, I’m fairly sure Gouken would win here. Think about how Akuma fights: he doesn’t hold back; his goal is to find someone of equal power to his own and fight them to the death. He is blinded by pure rage and the power of the Satsui no Hado. Gouken knows how to it lilies this to his advantage. Gouken first appearance in SFIV shows that he has many more defensive options. Gouken is winning this fight almost every time, as long as he doesn’t let guilt and sorrow stop him. There is no doubt that Akuma has power, but a lot of that stems from hatred and the Satsui no Hado. In fact,Evil Ryu was created when Akuma convinced Ryu to givin to the Satsui no Hado. But Gouken knows how to deal with his Brother, and has not only a determination to protect the rest of the world, but also a responsibility.
