I have them as my mains... They are literally of perfect to me and when I put them on and listen, I do not have a single other craving , it's all just immersive , crystal and perfect to me

Good review of the 1000SE Sandu , I love them . Apparently Holo Audio are developing a headphone amplifier using the Susvaras to voice it .

Sandu your written review on the HE1kSE was phenomenal! I suggest anyone liking this video to give the written review a once over as it goes into fantastic detail. In the US we had an adorama sale for the HE6 SEv2 for $700 for like 3 months. The HE6 isn't as good or technical as the HE1k or Sus and it needs a nuclear reactor to power it but for $700 the value could not be matched.

Maybe not the best cables , BUT THOSE CABLES show respect for the customer. Many, many times I complained about manufacturers asking very high prices without offering you a complete experience. Well, finally Hifiman understood that and made those champs desirable not just for the sound. Very good review, man, can't wait for the Susvara, THE BOSS OF ALL BOSSES!👍

Excellent review as always! I had a very very similar experience with the he1000SE. Even though I enjoy a bunch of other headphones very much, I consider HE1000SE to be in a league of it's own. Best I have ever heard.

You mentioned in your written review that you tested the HE1000se with the Burson Soloist 3X. I also have this headphone amp which I love. May I ask for your brief impression of this amp with the HE1000se? Did it tame any potential treble sharpness/brightness? Thanks again.

Man I love your reviews. I bought a D90 A90 because of you. You have to try for fun eqing the lower frequency for say an action movie or Drake song. It's like a dual subwoofer in my room when I want it to haha.

Your review is like a McKenzie guy sales pitch (it's a compliment in a positive way), now I am very tempted to replace my Arya since 1KSE are easier to drive but worried I might have to replace my A90/D90 that might be too cold for 1KSE 😂

How do they compare with the Focal Utopias? I have a pair of those and the Aryas - the Aryas are far less detailed with a lower resolution, but it has a beautiful soundstage (except for depth where the Utopias are in a different league). I am wondering if the HE100SEs would be "the best of both worlds" in terms of the Utopias' depth and detail and the Arya's sound stage (or better), or if their tonality and slam/punch would have me missing my Utopias after a while?

I just got a pair, due to the pricing ($2,000 summer discount) and I love a lot about them, but the upper register needs some EQ work, so I can finally get my ears to stop bleeding. Running them through a ADI-2 Pro FS. I am at around 120 or 130 hours of moderate level break in (70 - 85 dB) The main changes that occurred = in the bass, as far as I can HEAR. Everything went from slightly "dry" to more "cohesive" after about 70 hours.. The treble is HOT and with some tracks, that were produced with a lot of energy, they overcook the song. Tracks that weren't produced with enough treble sound perfect, lol. Not sure about my model in particular, but I will run some upper register frequency sweeps to locate the peaks, in order to come up with a eq game plan.. I would like to go as moderately as possible, so I don't mess with other areas of the frequency spectrum, for now. The bass may get boost, but it is so beautiful and natural and on tracks where the producer mixed in more or less, the bass shows up more or less. Maybe subtly cutting the treble will help add more definition/impact to the bass, too, although out of the box it is damn good. THE LISTENING AND TWEAKING EXPERIMENTS CONTINUE!

Personally don’t find the top end bad at all. Back when first starting I considered myself a bass head but it seems treble head is more accurate. Most complain about the top end but if you’ve experienced Arya’s, they’re worse/less smooth on the top yet people don’t say that as much about that model

Great review thank you. I Am starting save money for these (But after Gustard X26 Pro :) ). Peoaple are saying Fostex 909 are very good for metal because they are very punchy. If i buy this headphones instead of Fostex will i be satisfied? I Mean you have both so 1000se are punchy like Fostex but more detailed? :) Thank you

Utopia have no stage, none... it's an important aspect for me. Utopia is wonderful full mids. but... no stage and meh bass are a no go for me, I sold my pair

I own one and got it for the price of an Arya. Good value for the sound but build quality is terrible. I think my $100 Sennheiser HD559 is better built.

I also own one and the build quality of HE1000SE is actually ok. Not lcd-4 or meze empyrean but quite ok. And no....it has nothing to do with HD559...not even in build quality.

@@DanAlexandruGheorghe For the price I do expect a better paint job, at least put in some good clear coat to prevent paint scratches. The silver paint on Sennheiser HD559 never get scratched up. I wear the Sennheisers every day.
