Personally I love the HE 400SE Headband it's the most comfortable They use for my head the other problems like scratching The adjustments in breaking easily so no nope For me Plus the convert between that And the 400i They're both equally as comfortable for me Not one's better Or worse
Great review.I'm saving up for new headphones hopefully by black Friday I will have enough,(I'm a broke teenager), would you recommend these headphones,I listen to rock most of the time.im caught between these and the hd599, M50x and the akg k240
I really love my M40X. I think it's a very special, engaging, in-your-face sound like nothing I've heard before. Quite neutral/clear/accurate sounding mids, IMO. M50X offers more relaxed treble, slightly more bass, but an overall worse sound as well. I don't have good things to say about any AKG, or Sennheiser except HD660. I wasn't very impressed with HE400se, but it's definitely not a bad option... just not one that made me feel, "wow, this is GOOD STUFF". So, I would recommend just start out with M40X with Velvet pads and Fog City Audio cable, if you can afford it all. :) If you want to spend more, you could try a Sundara, but make sure it's the new version. Or Monolith M1060~, HD660
@@x-techgaming thanks for writing back.i definitely can't afford sundaras at the moment.i guess I'll have to wait and see what's the cheapest. I just want a clean , smooth balanced headphone
Actually, if you are OK with IEMs, I would try to get a Raptgo Hook-X instead of any headphone around that price. They are just fantastic, and out-do all of these headphones. By the time Black Friday comes, there will likely be a better IEM out, as well lol.
I don't remember them all that well by now, but I think they sounded like HE400 still, probably better tuned, with nothing standing out to me. I don't recall the treble being as good as I hoped, and planar bass never is. Good soundstage, balance, comfort. Certainly one worth trying in its price range.
