I thought she was that character from that Touhou series that's in the Bad Apple music video thing. I remember a character having a similar set of wings
Love that actually according to Cheating Detective Satori, Flan was basically just chilling in the basement playing runescape for 495 years while sakuya brought her hot pockets and mt dew
Context for what Flandre says: "Mary" was a nun who adopted the Scarlet sisters (since their biological mother abandoned them). She took care of them even though she knew they were vampires, and she made Flan a teddy bear. One day the whole town found out that she was taking care of vampires, so they catch her and kill her, and her teddy bear was destroyed. At that moment Flandre lost her sanity and killed the entire town with his ability to destroy everything.
Short story: Mother was demon or youkai. Becouse of that reason human's going to kill her so she sent her children to somewhere. Children got adopted by Nun. And human's think Nun traitor that helped demon. So they killed Nun. After Flandre see that she ate entire human's
@@jackdalton2872 fanon is a term used to describe something that is canonically incorrect, but that is so prevalent in the Fandom, it might as well be its own canon. Fanon interpretations of Flandre often protray her as violent, psychotic, with a love-hate relationship with her sister, and being forcefully trapped in the basement. Canonically, as in, in the games and the side material, she's snarky, easily excitable, literal basement dweller, with a dark and dry sense of humor that can say some unnerving things as a joke. The reason she's in the basement is because she has very little control of hee powers and ends up being extreme destructive when she gets excited and/or goes hunting, so she's kept there as a way to keep anything (like intruders or guests) from catching her attention and causing mayhem just trying to be playful. Even then though, she's not imprisoned in the basement. It's more like a curfew type of deal. She's still allowed to roam around the mansion and is as respected as her sister, though Remilia still has the higher authority. In the side material, she even goes outside unsupervised and has a 1 on 1 interview with Aya after blowing up a meteorite. Her snarky, sarcastic, side fully shines during that interview.
@@BelldandyMan There Is Some Truth In That Crazy Profile Since She Has Bad Social Skills And Is Difficult To Understand Her, She Is Not Normal For Sure

@@CafeLiquerstreams Man, people who only play the game and/or only watch the fan anime from the old time before Hifuu club act sure got misled by her cuteness. Though the old fan anime did mention a bit about why Flan got imprisoned.
Although the hifuu club activity record anime was short I was blown away from it like out of all my years of watching anime this has got to be the absolute best anime in every way possible like Touhou isn’t even an anime to start with but the fans who made this did an amazing job and idk if it’ll be possible but I hope they’re continue this:)

@@sorasora1477 It's a bullet hell game known for it's difficulty and music that involves incidents in the mythical Japanese paradise known as Gensokyo. Yeah, a GAME. All the anime fanart and all that? That was just the people animefying all the characters until the sole creator of the series, ZUN, decided to outsource a fighter game spin off that had anime designs and created several manga, though he never drew those art. Due to ZUN being an incredibly nice dude, he actually encourages fans to make fanwork, and is very lenient on what they can produce. The only restriction is to never sell a Touhou fanwork as your own original work. This has lead to many things being produced, such as high quality fan games, various fan manga, a massive amount of music remixes, and even full on Anime. A very large amount of popular manga artists /anime style artists got their start drawing Touhou fanart or doujin. And despite the Fanbase not actually being that large, it's somehow been able to sneak it's way into mainstream media over and over again without many people realizing. Chances are, you've inadvertently heard of a piece of touhou media, but never realizaed it.
@@sorasora1477 I think the Touhou Wiki is your best bet to learn more about Touhou. Since Toto Zhu explaind what touhou is and who made it and how there is so much content, I go with some History lore. First of all you should know what a Yokai, there are probably magical beeings that can be a ghost, a demon, a god. I don't know if it is just in the context of Touhou but a Yokai can also be a phenomen that people could not explain. For example the Touhou character Kyouko Kasodani she lives in the Mountans and likes to shout stuff back at people, so she is an echo. As the World becomes more modern and technical, less people believe in such beeings, but the yokai's need humans to believe in them in order to exist. More and more Yokai were dying, so some gather together (the Sages of Gensokyo) to work on an solution. So they picked a place in Japan with a human village in it and draw a border (the Great Hakurei Barrier) around it, that hides it for the Outside World (obvious our world). So Gensokyo was created and become a home to Yokai and other beeings no longer tolerated or outcasted from the modern world. Ever now and then some Yokai cause some trouble that could damage the greater good of Gensokyo, so that someone (mostly Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame) needs to find the troublemaker and "exterminats" them. Thoese are the incidents where the games are about. Also since when some Yokai fight eachother, the world could be in danger, the Spellcard rules were established. (there are powers like manipulating limitations) If you want to know more about some characters and want to stay on RU-vid i would recommend Magiftw: ru-vid.com/group/PLJT0OtjwnENgzs2UGLtOcCvNUgs9_SXT-
@@Maus_Indahaus canonically she can come out whenever she wants (tho she likes to be alone apparently) and she's childish so she just wants to have fun but she is extremely powerful, fanon flandre is a psychopath who likes to kill and play with other people's lives, and is being locked away by his sister remilia. A big difference if you ask me, kinda like koishi. You have canon koishi and then koishi from kkhta.
I feel unsafe. Terribly unsafe. But tbh this is wonderful scene which the lore matters. How much Remilia protect her sister, and how insane Flandre is. Again, I'm scared.
Can anyone confirm who Flandre's voice actress is? Cause she sounds a lot like Maria Ushiromiya from Umineko, which would be fucking insane if they got her to voice Flandre.
@@bullettheusurper4320 I guess we should just wait for the official channel to upload it someday like this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ML_yeam4L_4.html
A little late but I have news: The doujin circle who made this anime submitted the third episode to their official channel so you can watch it legally and in HD.
Actually its here on youtube, just search for ”sealed esoteric history episode 3” and I believe you should find one with (possibly slightly off) english subs.
She has power of Destruction. Anything she imagines in her palm and crushes will be destroyed. Fearing such overwhelming and all encompassing power, Remilia locked Flandre in the basement for her own safety and the safety of the world. Flandre has no understanding of the world. She doesn't even know she is a vampire, or that others are food. She is fed blood already prepared, with no idea as to where it came from or what it is. She also has no understanding of her own power. When she fights you she is only playing, because she has no understanding that she is killing you. This is of course a fan animation that takes a few liberties with her characterization.
@@Coffy-chan I think Flandre-chan just like little kid but more dangerous & more uncontrollable. Maybe in her eyes, other than her family, the others are just like an ant that can be crushed/destroyed at will, just like a little kid massacre ants, abusing/hurting animals or just broke anything when they're curious, happy, unhappy, sad, and angry. 😅
@@I___Am Pretty much that, but worse. At least children have a concept of what they're doing and what they're capable of. Children know they're hurting and killing. Flandre doesn't even realize that.
@@I___Am Pretty sure it's canon in the games she doesn't understand. But yeah either way being locked in the basement has definitely left her ignorant and traumatized.
