beautiful video - I did yong chun white crane - still practice my patterns. My old instructor was always dismissive of the japanese as "imitators" but to see this man doing his pattern is a wonderful thing. May this kind of thinking continue.
I would like to thank Sensei Morio Higaonna for the great gift of your time. It most definitely made a different in everyone training. I really would like to thank you for being here in the United States; or the time you and Sensei Rodney Hu made a difference during the 1980s, & 1990s, It was the best of times for me, and the things I learned was second to none. One thing you and Sensei Hu taught me is train for the moment as if your life depends on it, and memories last a life time. Especially if those memories are your family in Goju-ryu karate.
The story goes that Miyagi Chojun based his Tensho on a white crane form he saw in China. Could it be this form from White Crane he witnessed? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q5BXGjYQ7EU.html
@Whammer79 he didn't learn his karate from his China visit but from his master higaonna on okinawa in the mid 1800s for decades.get your history right. Karate styles were taught by the Chinese migrants in the okinawan kingdom.
@Whammer79 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZqCbNKGgIyo.html Funny how beginner level kung fu does better than Kung fu masters. Btw everyone kows karate and kung fu dont work in a real fight and chi doesnt exist in science. Real fighters/Martial Artist are doing Thai boxing and BJJ/wrestling etc haha
