I think your looking at it the wrong way its not about an older guy getting a crush on a younger girl. It's a girl that has fallen for an older man because of his kindness and how she goes after love after she was dead inside

Me seeing The empty box and the 0th Maria and thinking this was some fucked up shit XD But that aside thanks for the review on Higehiro, I wasn't quite sure if the story is going down the Sayu x Yoshida route so I originally wanted to give it a pass since I'm not comfortable with this kind of relationship (got still somehow interestet in Koikimo, probably because the age gap is not that explicitly brought to your attention) but I wanna give it a try now : )
the anime really took out all the parts from the light novel and the manga which lead to major character developments...anime is too rushed for me....maybe its just me
JK Haru is so wack. I don't think it was a particularly well-written light novel per say, but I found that it was very interesting by how unique its premise was. It goes completely contrary to common isekai power fantasy tropes and paints a bleak situation where someone believes in them to the point that they feel entitled. I personally wouldn't recommend this light novel unless you really hate isekai and are fine with reading variably explicit material.

To the point that the LN is currently translated to in English that has not happened nor has it showed any indication of happening. The English translation is behind the Japanese release by a volume though.
