Taking catches is a nightmare for me especially high and long range ones not only because I don't have the right technique but I get too nervous every time when there is a catching opportunity. This phobia may be started due to bullies who will curse at me every time I drop a catch when I was a kid. Thanks for tips Glenn
Idk why but yesterday maxi hit a wonderful knock of 201* against afghanistan and today YT recommended this to me. Who else loved that one man show? 91/7 to 293/7.
Practice is the key. I used to practice catching (high balls, fast balls, etc) a lot as a kid. Now it comes to me easily. Nevertheless, make some time(as low as 15 mins) everyday to practice, and you'll be great at catching in no time. Cheers. :)
can u make a video on how to judge a catch? because i have dropped many catches as i always run ahead when the ball is going behind.plz if u cant make a video plz reply and anyone can reply .thx in advance.
Judgement is developed your own way, there isn't a set way to judge it but the more you practice with high catches, the better your understanding of the trajectory of the ball will get. So in short, practise a lot and learn from your mistakes so you don't make the same mistake in a game situation.
Thank you for video but I do not think catching a ball eye level on face is a good practice for safety reasons if for some reason you miss the ball it can cause serious facial injuries Keeping eye on ball is key but move face to sides in taking the catch for safety reasons
