Very disappointed if this shows how recovery is carried out by REME today , there didn't seem to be any one person in charge, a lot of dithering, all were straight pulls ( except one indirect ) jamming a gun plank in the track didn't used to be the recommended way to turn a tracked vehicle - apart from destroying the plank! Would have been better training if some had locked tracks and required a compensating pull. Also looks as if you can pick what uniform you want to wear - even if it includes a blue wooly hat!
Interesting vid. Nice to see the girls have made it into combat kit doing as much hard graft as the chaps in recovering vehicles. Not actually noticed util just before the end of the vid.
James Campbell to turn the vehicle. by jamming timber in the track it stops it making the tank pivot. This is what happens when you put the timber too far in- it gets stuck!
I used to be a recovery tank crew in the Swiss army. This looks really slow, complicated and inefficient. And all those double pulls seemingly unnecessary on flat ground. the hook up on the last recovery was a nightmare too. that cable shoud have been hooked up at the tank first. not impressed at all.
@@JammyDodger45 didn’t know you’re a spokes person of some sport, that you think you can speak for all 😂 You can disregard all you want, it wad still slow and inefficient’ and you’re right we really make good knifes and I just learned from that video, that were also really good at recovering!
