Yeah, I got bit twice in one day by dogs that two different homeowners said never bit. After the second bite, I was reaching for the claw hammer at the rear left utility bed box when the homeowner opened the trailer front door and yelled at the dog. I wasn’t going to get bit a third time, I can guarantee you that. The first two bites left a bloody patch on the back of my leg through my jeans. Now I carry a miniature ball bat right behind the driver seat. I’m too old for taking spit from a poorly disciplined mut.
I know that sound! I put a new 3 ton in and the thing immediately started pumping down. Bad TXV right out of the box. Thankfully my distributor just swapped the entire unit and I didn't have to change the danged valve on a brand new unit.

You misread the defrost board code. It was alternating flash and that is 5 minute delay. Normal would be both flashing at the same time, like a heat beat. Shorting those pins cancelled the delay.
Yeah, led lights are a big help when it comes to troubleshooting. They help find the problem much faster. If you don't have them it could take a long time to find the issue.
Hey Curtis I hope you can answer this question.. what happens if you have this same scenario, but instead of low head pressure, you have high head pressure and your true suction pressure stays the same on heat mode. Where would you consider starting, would it be vice versa? Indoor metering device?

If you ever get a heat pump installed, to avoid a surprise go behind the installers to make sure the outside unit runs in heat mode. My neighbor had a new system installed and 3 months later he was complaining about the heat and a high electric bill. His outside unit was never running in heat mode due to the install. 😂
