Dr. Rogers, my husband warns me to stay away from copiers because the ink residue (that you can see on the ceiling above the copier) is known to breach the blood-brain barrier. Can you do a video on the blood-brain barrier for those of us without several degrees in science please?

Some printer inks do contain Silver nanoparticles, and these can cross the blood brain barrier and are neurotoxic. Ref: intl j environ res public health, effect of silver nanoparticles on learning, memory, social interaction in mice, Kamal, Jan 2019

Despite eating a low fat diet of lots of beans, greens, whole grains- Why does a cancer patient get increasingly fatigue, brain fog, etc. Does the lactic acid produced by the tumor cause leaking gut and leaky brain barriers?

For cancer you need to eat a high fat diet to starve it. Don't even mess around with high carb diets at this point.

It's bizarre how many people believe Bart (many are meat industry trolls). He tells people to eat 100% animal foods & ZERO% carbohydrates = opposite of the truth.

@@PeterRogersMD He's a caricature, a winder-upperer,. Just because someone says something on the great "Tube Of You-ness" doesn't mean they believe it. Many people, as you know, through life, have played the annoying "devils advovate" and been a pied piper to many gullible souls. He's a shill and is doing his schtick as a giggle and hoot. He gets the attention that his parents and school peers never gave him...he's just so sad and lonely.

I am 26 have had chestpain for 3 years and chronic fatigue. I first discovered that peanut would cause bad pain, then found almond butter, then years later oil and tried to replace the oil with cashew organic whole, but that caused the pain too. Finally after avoiding those and not eating much fat i have not have pain for about a month, unless i took lots of calcium supplement which made my jaw and bones feel good but internals feel bad. My left side of jaw has been in pain since the angina started and a tooth left back was said to be precavity about eight years ago before I had any of this. I never went back to the dentist since then. Also whole left side of body is smaller, left eyesight worse than right, gynecomastia worse on left side. Magnesium, vitamin c, vitamin e and many others will reduce angina to pretty much zero, but the elimination of the fat is what prevented it in. The first place. Tooth ache seems to be from acid, especially fruit, while i thought it was from sugar. Ive been chugging sugar water since watching durianrider videos and was surprised that the sugar water has no effect on the tooth and surprisely would often make the tooth and jaw feel good. I also have a uv sum kraft lamp which surprisely i can put my face to and will give my jaw a pleasing pressure. Calcium will to topically but gives angina pain im glad i saw thomas levy desth by calcium before experimenting with the calcium otherwise im sure it would have taken longer. Anyway tooth infections i think are the main cause of heart disease from lymph to the aorta, levy had some stufff on that too

Dr in your opinion can brain ischemia and mild cognitive impairment be reversed in some way with this type of diet.

When a neuron is dead, it's dead, and not able to come back to life. However, good blood flow & avoiding toxins can help to optimize cognitive function in the remaining neurons. Everything in the human body functions better with good blood flow. I made lots of videos about raising IQ, TBI rehab, stroke of insight, etc. There are lots of things a motivated person can to improve cognitive function.

Just avoid animal products and have fun with the 50.000 edtble plants. Online- go for Whole food Plant Based recipes, no salt, oil,sugar if you wanna be hardcore. Be Fresh and not Sluggish.

Best diet is low fat, low sodium, 100% vegan, 100% whole foods, 100% organic with no oils, no caffeine, no alcohol.

Get most of your calories from starch: potatoes, corn, beans, rice (60-90% of total calories). Get some from vegetables: raw leafy greens, steamed vegetables (10-40% of calories). Get a few calories from whole fruit (0-30% of calories). That’s the low-fat, low-sodium Spartan Vegan diet. Avoid added salts, oils, flours, alcohols, sugars and chemicals from cleaning products and filter your water.

I eat essentially zero fat with the exception of wild caught salmon. Hopefully that won't tip me over into the high risk category.

Salmon is about 50:50. 50% fat, 50% protein, no carbohydrate.

Does this apply to other mammals? Should lions in zoos be fed a low-fat diet? Presumably, their blood physiology is the same as humans.

@PeterRogersMD but a carnivore's vascular system is the same as an omnivore's. They have same blood physiology and biochemistry as us, so how would fat behave differently?

Extreme high fat diets debunked but also high carb diets debunked. You have to be somewhere in between or else you will get energy toxicity from excess carbs or fats. Protein to energy ratio is your best bet. So the winner is Protein for best health and reducing obesity.

I've not seen dr. mcDougall's starch based diet debunked, fat and protein should be limited, use carbs for energy and satiety. Don't eat refined carbs, opt for whole vegetables, fruits and starches.

Best paper ever on diabetes is by Michael Brownlee "Unifying theory of diabetes complications" available at ada dot org. Great online lecture on diabetes by Gerald Shulman MD, Phd explains how fat causes diabetes. My videos explain same thing from a biochemistry perspective. @@ceeemm1901

I heard (but cant confirm) the original 'Mediterranean diet' was based on the cretean fasting diet (im guessing what they ate during lent) which is vegan (although the olive oil is still there)

The term "Mediterranean Diet" was coined by Ansel Keyes. A gty who lived to 100 and has wrongly been misquoted and maligned. In Crete in the 1950's the diet he studied was a diet of all war torn countries, ie a severe lack of animal products. Therefore it showed a remarkable benefit in health. The same happened to Norway which was annexed by the Nazis for 5 years. They Nazis took all the meat, fish, dairy and eggs from the Norwegians. Medical records from that time show that all cause mortality dropped 20%...in 5 years!!! for 3 million people!...The similar result, but lesser, basically happened in Great Britain during the rationing at that time.

They didn't want to call it the Cretan diet (sounds like Cretinism). As the viewer here suggested, it was initially mostly a plant based diet. The "medit diet" has been corrupted & nowadays mostly means an excuse to eat olive oil, chicken, fish, cheese, nuts, wine = a bad diet.

I follow carnivore for 5+ years now, got the following health benefits after a vegan diet caused some of them: loose teeth, bleeding gums, sensitive teeth, blocked sinuses, mouth breathing, left eye twitches, heartburn, calf cramps, yellow stool, blood in stool, edema below the knees, pain in feet when walking, I can stay out in the sun longer without burning or peeling, shoulder/neck pain after waking up, lower back stiff/pain-twinge free since Nov 2022 after an operation in 2005

@@PeterRogersMD I'm actually honest, I eat a carnivore diet but I do enjoy hearing the vegan lies now and then. I was on a plant based diet for 2 years before I started carnivore. I don't mind commenting on vegan videos either because you guys convince people to be healthy and then when it fails to work they eventually find the carnivore diet, where the health is at.

It’s the huge problem with anyone that is so incredibly myopic in their thinking. They believe just because they are doing alright with the diet, or that many others are, that automatically means it MUST work for EVERYONE which is total BS. Just step out of your narrow minded bubble for 2 seconds and look into all of the folks who were vegan for years eating YOUR LOW FAT DIET that ended up developing food allergies, rashes, major gut issues, joint pain, teeth problems, breathing issues, on and on and on.
