Fun fact: despite Italy pantsing England with that tactic - England voted against changing that law
@philipglover3295

Which ended up causing them a victory over the All Blacks that autumn as Sam Underhill scored after Courtney Lawes went offside at a ruck so Italy’s tactic along with Eddie Jones saying that wasn’t rugby mate in his interview despite a 35-17 England win meant the All Blacks won at Twickeham But that lead to Ireland beating the All Blacks for the first time in Dublin the week after so I can’t complain

@@Matt_Alaric Yes because of his interview afterwards where Eddie Jones said that the Italian tactic of not committing to rucks wasn’t Rugby despite England winning 35-17 This lead to a rule change on the offside rule at rucks meaning that Courtney Lawes being offside leading to Sam Underhill’s try against the All Blacks that would have been allowed prior to the rule change meant that Jone’s rant caused an All Black win at Twickenham that Autumn

Rugby league fan here, would be more into union if it was more available but one thing I like about this video is how everyone respects the referees decision. @0:15 That wasn't high IQ, that was a brain fart from the ref. He had previously just told the England captain to go talk to his team, and called time off. There's nothing in the law book that says the team has to set up before a penalty is taken.
