Hello Jeff ! The classification of voices (tenor baritone) and those different terms (mix head chest voices) are very confusing. For me as far as i understand, all the work of a singer is to widen his vocal range, keeping the same color in all his range and avoiding airy sound. I guess that is what you call "consistent" and "smooth transition". What also surprise me is that the "break" (brutal change of voice color) is not as the same place, depending on the exercice and the vowel. Thanks for your great videos !!

Happy to help. Your 'break' should be in the same place regardless of vowel or exercise.

Does someone need to warm up their voice daily? What is the difference between a warm up and an exercise? What are the differences between the sound of the two?

Mostly, we do need to warm up every day! There's not much difference between warm ups and exercises, but your intention can change what you get out of them. Also, it's best to consider the requirements of your repertoire when choosing a warm up!
