How often do you have to fill up your res running a drain to waste system? Im currently setting up a return to res system im lookong around 2 gallons every 7-10 days per plant? Having the peace of mind of a clean res i wouldnt mind if i had to use a little bit more water
That sounds about right, of course it depends on how many nozzles and your timing. Reducing waste water by having solenoids closer to nozzles helps a lot, want as little water dripping out after a misting as possible
Thanks for the help. Im currently only able to setup 2 plants because of limited space with 2 nozzles per plant. You are the first i seen using solenoids and im surprised because thats makes so much sense, what a great idea. I am def going to look into that. Thanks again👍
@@MachoGrams if you use solenoids I recommend going with a DC one, a little safer. There are little metal rectangle valves that come in 12V or 24V varieties and either have 1/4 NPT or 1/8 NPT ports. Some of them are branded with “WIC” and you’ll find them on eBay or Amazon. If you get the 1/8 NPT ones, they can accept the Tefen nozzles directly giving you the best possible response time. Then you can use 1/8 or 1/4 NPT to 1/4 RO Push-fit fittings to connect your 1/4 tube. Finally, to splice the electrical you can use RC bullet connectors. A little soldering but they’re better than using wago connectors, more permanent and somewhat splash proof. Hopefully that helps. Would love to see your setup if you’re inclined.

I have not yet setup any solenoids and still working on dialing in my timing as my roots are remaining wet in between cycles. Im down to 1 nozzle per bucket now and currently extending my off time. Doing that now im facing possibility of my root zone temp increasing which is not good.
Not at this time. It would need more safety features, like detecting when nutrient solution is low or waste bucket is full, to be ready for the market.
It's a 60 PSI pump dude. You're wasting your money with all those fittings an RV pump. Plus the Lions way too small to do anything what are you going to raise five plants with that.😂
