Market is building to a perfect storm. - Dealers are seeing fewer people willing to pay these prices at current rates (with or without additional markup). - Many of those that bought/traded-in at the gouging peak in 20-22 (who may be interested in getting new again), are more likely to be underwater on their current vehicle. They'll either elect to hold onto what they have, or risk going further into debt. - We're already seeing a tightening in the used car market. Smaller lots typically rely on third parties for financing. It's getting harder to for them secure loans for customers these days, which will help drive prices down.

My down payment and their 3500$ cash rebate helped a ton. I will say...no wrangler is worth over 50k. At best the 392 should be around 70k. Its all hard plastic as far as interior goes which is necessary for said vehicle. If your gonna sell wranglers for 70 ok to 140k ....they should come with radar absorbent paint, night vision, run flats, beefier undercarriage bracketry, dana 60s, bulletproof doors and windows. What made Dodge/Jeep/Ram so popular was cool looking cars with modern looks inside and out at a price better than their competition. I had a loaded rebel that I paid low 60's in 2020. I had a 2020 Power Wagon with EVERYTHING in it. paid 73. Both these on Canada's build and price are OVER 100k!!! Obsoletely ridiculous. 2025 BigHorn for 78k!!! They killed off the beloved HEMI, an amazingly branded engine. So they essentially killed off everything that made them popular and replaced it with delusional pricing in a Canadian economy that's failing due to poor leadership. There is absolutely no way I am paying these prices for my favorite brand and their sales numbers show that I am not alone in feeling this way. I am in automotive sales and I can tell you there is another side of this that I have not seen being discussed. All the talented sales people and managers in Dodge stores are leaving. No money in it anymore. Stores here in Ottawa that used to sell 80 - 140 cars per month now struggle to sell 20-30 per month. It's a disaster and from what I see with their 2025 pricing......it's about to get much worse.

I just bought a Kubota tractor for 40k. 54 hp. It will earn me money and pay for itself in 1 year but i can wright it off for 10 years. I will plant 5 acres worth of palm trees at $25 each and look to sell them for $500 in 5-7 years. It's a side business which gets me a tsx exemption on my personal acerage.

4XE, the model no customers ask for and don't want to pay extra for. And the European CEO has no idea what people expect from Jeep, his idea may not match the customers ideas. The price points certainly don't.

Stellantis isn't going to survive their pricing, I don't know if any car manufacturer will. Labor is one of the largest costs of vehicle manufacture, when you consider benefits, retirement, etc. The unions are killing auto companies. Just wait until the new wage increases hit and prices REALLY go up. They think they aren't selling now? With a 40% wage increase it will bury the big 3.

That 4ex getting 49 miles of use is hard to pass up for an extra $5k plus. I have a TJ still and won't pay the high prices for a wrangler. The Dealers aren't talking about why, but people are obviously paying.

When the vehicles don’t sell, then they stop -limit- the production. Layoffs at manufacturing plants and management levels. Dealerships go out of business. They will start selling direct to consumer. People still buy vehicles they can’t afford just to look good to their neighbors and people they drive by and in traffic.

A key point often missed is these vehicles are simply not worth the asking price. The cost to value is simply not there. Car prices should be cut in half at a minimum.

Because they are not updating the limit of the "luxury" tax, everything is going to be taxed as a luxury at some point. People should have honestly seen this when it was introduced. Inflation will just bring the luxury tax to everything you buy over time, just as intended.

Ok so these are Canadian prices. Right now you can buy a 4 door jeep wrangler for low 50k Canadian which is high $30k US. So while some of these are very expensive. They do offer more affordable ones too.

Jeeps are beautiful. Jeeps are fun. Jeeps are reliable enough. Luxury they certainly not even close. A wealthy successful person, the type of person that could afford $130,000 vehicles, it’s not dumb enough to pay that much money for jeep.

Ive had jeeps for a long time but i traded my jk for a 4runner just because honestly cost is cheaper for a 4runner and more reliable than a new wrangler. Id love for a new rubicon but I’m probably going to just build a tj/lj for my deeper offroading adventures

If you're silly enough to spend 130k on a jeep wrangler, I would suggest just spending the extra 30k and get the Cadillac Escalade v series 2024. It's only 160k I think and it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaay nicer a vehicle in general, its engines are hand made per truck. Or you could go electric and get an Ionic 5 for 66k and get motor trends car/suv of the year for 2024.

Screw these car companies! They could easily make affordable cars. As I mentioned earlier, there's nothing wrong with my 2009 Patriot. Jeep could still make a simple car like that if they wanted to. make it quality! A car doesn't need to have power everything, hybrid/turbo, etc. My only regret with my 2009 Patriot is that I didn't get the manual transmission.

These car manufacturers are so out of touch with the average consumer. They somehow think that the more features that they place on their vehicles that the more that'll entice people to buy it. They fail to see that the overall price of the product is even more important than the overall features of their vehicles. Only foolish people would buy a vehicle for all its great features and then have to struggle to pay for it.

I find it funny that while everybody is blaming it on raising prices, NOBODY wants to address the real problem After operating cost have been deducted from the gross earnings, Managements over priced salaries, their bone us money, dividend payments AND LABOR WAGES are divied up. Labor being 1/3 the equation that makes the company profitable is thought of as a burden and not the 1/3 partner we are. UAW laid down the gauntlet, it is up to the rest of us to say enough of treating us as a burden and treat us as the equal we are in the big picture. Or, they can come down from their ivory tower and do the work themselves.
