High Risk Work Of Cat Dozer D11 Building Mountain Road 

In 1998 a neighbor had a D11. He was 70 ish. I lived 2 miles south of Loma Prieta Pk on Sumit Rd, in the Santa Cruz mtns, ir's the highest point in the SC mtns. He drove by me, going up to Loma Prieta and over to Loma Chiquita ridge, on the opposite side of the canyon from me. That canyon is also the San Andreas fault. The road elv where he went is 2600ft, the canyon bottom is around 1000ft. He was grading a property about 1.5 miles from Loma Prieta pk and down Loma Chiquita rd , ... he was about 1500 ft down the canyon, about 400ft of elvation drop.... the engine misbehaved to he set the blade and was walking up the slope when he heard something and turned around to see his D11 go ass over heals to the bottom the canyon. Well, you don't just pick up a D11. It sat there for about 10 yrs and around 2008 some one graded in a road from Swedal, a little vacation town, and went up the canyon and took out the D11. I saw the D11 on google earth but it's gone now. I gave all this info so the reader can go on google earth and see the drop. I have no idea how the D11 was removed.
