Well I finally did it, I got out and dragged my truck at the local 1/8th mile strip with a bunch of other kids from my high school. This event was put on by our own Ramona High Schools Auto shop teacher Robert Grace. without him this event wouldn't be possible so huge thank you to him. Special thank you as well to Marc, Seth, and Chris for helping me film.

We do have stuff like this over here. Book yourself into the Dial-in day at Santa Pod for next year. £25 for a day of bracket racing open to complete newcomers to get the grips of it.

Definitely want to see more drag videos as you upgrade/modify your truck more. This looked like a hell of a lot of fun. If I lived anywhere remotely near you I'd run my '75 F150 with you guys. As for the time slip girl she can piss up a rope. Glad you had fun

Great truck! just put the shifter on the floor. Use a mustang 4 speed shifter and convert it to 3. I have the h pattern. I start in first and slide it into 2nd because those shifters are adjustable. makes shifts much quicker.

dont burnout on regular street tire. It will make them slippy and then you won't get traction. Only drag tires get sticky.

thecraig909 if I were you I wouldn't put a fox body trans in anything, those t5's are like glass and can't handle anymore than 250hp and 300 torque.

Mitch Mitchellson I don't know My dad bought a 1955 Chevy with a 383 in it making about 425 horsepower with the T5 in it and it held for a few months of hotrodding it everywhere and it broke during a hard pull in third gear around 95 so they are really like glass more like wood. Now it has a Muncie 4-speed in it.

I meant the factory 3-speed in the F100. I have a 1970 and converted it to a floor shifter with the hurst indy. It helps, but the gear throws are still longer than hell and it's a dog. The T-5 is a great upgrade if you are below 350ish, after that it needs to be a TKO.

I think you'll need to replace the 3 speed with a 4 on the floor to stand a chance. There's a reason muscle cars never had column shifters. Still that truck isn't gonna beat very many drag cars lol

Dang this would be awesome if my high school would have had this. We had so many supped up diesel trucks, a few built mustangs, my best friend had a c5 corvette, and one porsche. I would have loved to turn up the tune on my truck or took my parents g8gt to race them.

My high school did this... I had the distinct pleasure of owning a very rough, but built 76 trans-am. Smoked everyone, even my shop teacher. I love'd that thing so damn much... sold her when my first son was born. If I had known Pontiac was going outta business I would have never sold it. Biggest regret of my life.

You should get a ZF6 Trans, it has granny lo and has nice gearin ratios. (I think its a ZF6 I'm talking about, it came with the 7.3's with the manuals in F250 and up)
