Thanks for sharing these ideas and resources. I am curious to hear at a later date how the journey is going for your kiddo using these materials.

I am new to this learning style, my daughter is very drawn to the artistic component of it. I was wondering if you have an account anywhere where someone can purchase the block schedule (lesson plan) you use for this unit and all your other units (history, creative writing). I would definitely be interested in purchasing it bc honestly I have no clue how to work this daily for her and it would be such a help to have a step by step of what to do daily as a base and modify if necessary to work within individual homeschoolers. Would you consider selling your blocks lesson plan/schedules? I believe I wouldn't be the only one interested in it! Thank you so much and I hope you start posting other videos soon, you have quality and understandable content. Very very helpful! Thank you :)

Do you have a video explaining how you set up the lesson blocks you mentioned? And how long you spend homeschooling each day? I am quite possibly going to have my Senior and Sophomore homeschooling next year, and possibly their siblings. I like the idea of weaving art into things as at least my two lean toward the artistic side. How do you know what to remediate in different areas? I know my daughter has mentioned she doesn't know parts of speech, so we definitely need to work on that, but overall I am hoping for fairly hands on unit type studies where we can weave multiple subjects together. Like foreign language to learn the parts of speech technical side, but maybe reading/writing about personal finance or US history to fulfill more of the English rather than picking random topics for English. I hope that makes sense.... Is it even possible to deschool enough to get later high schoolers caught up after years of not really learning at school? The school experience since we hit middle school really hasn't been positive. They are bored, or confused, or completely lost and don't get any help, even when they ask.

Thank you for your feedback. 😊 I don’t have a video yet that explains how I put together a main lesson block but am more than happy to start working on one. As far as how long we homeschool each day, my video titled “Waldorf Homeschool Rhythms for Preschool and 9th Grade” show how our day is set up and what our schedule looks like. My advice regarding your kids is to begin by looking up the homeschool laws in the state you live in to be sure you’re following them regarding “what” to teach. Next I would look up your states graduation requirements to make sure that you cover all the required subjects to confidently issue a diploma when it’s time to graduate. Then, I would consider having the high school aged kids take a practice SAT or ACT test because that would help you learn their strengths and weaknesses. I personally find that having a Morning Basket with core subject refresher workbooks works great. I have two Morning Basket videos that may help you with ideas for that. I include workbooks in my sons Basket in the areas that need remediation for sure. Unit studies or main lesson blocks are an amazing way to weave subjects together and I agree that doing so can be a great way to cover all the subjects. Though I will start planning a full video on it, I will say that when you are planning out a unit study or main lesson block, start by figuring out what the main “textbook” or material will be and then build on it from there. Try to include something artistic in each block, games, visual picture books, videos, audiobooks, etc... this will help you cover all the learning styles until you figure out which style works best for your kids. Also include several interest led elective courses so they have plenty of time to do things each day that they love and want to do. My son does one elective per day on a rotation. Keep track of all of the material you use, field trips you take, etc... so that you can make a transcript for colleges later. I am currently making a video on transcripts and diplomas that I’ll be posting within the next couple weeks. I hope this helps and if you have any other questions please let me know and I’ll try to help. I’ll also start working on the video explaining how I put together main lesson blocks soon. 🌸

I’d love to know how you use all of the different Drawing and Form Drawing guides during the block. Do you use more than 1 for each lesson?
