She truly is amazing and INCREDIBLY down to Earth and humble. I was very happy to have had the opportunity to meet her in person, and she really is a champion not only because of how tremendously skilled and hard-working she is as a runner but also because of her wonderful and modest personality. You go, Sadie, you WILL achieve AMAZING things in your future!
Although Engelhardt has been running for years, the hardest season is the season you get good. It's the next season (in Engelhardt's case, Sophomore year in H.S.) that the pressure and expectations are mentally challenging. I find it admirable Engelhardt explains this situation.
Interesting parallels to Katelyn Tuohy's story. She is a bright light, as we grieve the all-too-sudden end of the Tuohy era of the NCAA (I think). Wouldn't it be a miracle if, tomorrow, KT decided to continue grad studies at State, and showed up at the BU opener this coming weekend? LOL
That would be something, but I think that’s off the table for her to go back to NC State and competent for the team. Having an official professional contract ensures that
hopefully she will go to NC State Wolfpack or BYU Cougars.... that little cute as a button Parker Valby is putting the florida gators back on the map not that they ever left i meant to say... Kayelyn Tuohy just joined Whittni Orton among so many other legends to the Adidas team & that little cute Jenna Hutchins joined the BYU Cougars.... (Diljeet Taylor was a Marine drill instructor in a previous life)... ha ha.... Just Kidding but te bottom line is.... Darn-it... i do care what's going on in the field & track / cross-country world.... & if that doesn't sit well wit you i won;t lose any sleep over it son.... after-all... if the universe created anything better than cross-country it remains a mystery doll-face
What's this now? Sadie Engelhardt? hmmm.... give me some room to think now.... if my memory still serves me right she was that little cute-thing that stole our hearts when she broke the world record for the shortest mile time for females 14 and under.... er? uh? i mean? in Huntington i meant to say. god-bless her.... one of the best parts about cross-country for me among many reasons is watching these angels transform into strong women....
