95 mph is pretty fast for a high school junior. What's the hardest you've ever thrown?

91 at age 40.... only hit 83 in HS and it hurt due to coach forcing a traditional arm slot if I wanted to pitch... 22 years later and knowing if you pitch sidearm you pitch sidearm LoL i can throw a knuckleball from that same side arm slot too ... my sons 12u team make me throw it after practice because soon as they all hit one they get pizza after the next practice LoL.

Was throwing 88mph as a freshman before ever hitting the weight room. Got kicked out of high school as a sophomore and I never played baseball again. I regret not sticking with it. I should of played legion ball to try and get noticed but I was a angry teenager that had no foresight.

A lot of people criticizing the kid about ball location & form. This is just a speed or velocity training session im assuming. Kinda like when you have your Max day at the gym. Build that strength. Then you plan your following workouts off your max. Then you do it all over again.

These are some crazy fast pitches, he probably had a trainer or great equipment growing up unlike some of us. I'm 14 turning 15 and I feel like for my weight and size, I should be throwing faster, even though i do not have much equipment myself, I tried many stuff so i have to stick to playing 2nd base. Is there any tips you recommend for me? I also visited ur website and downloaded some of your trainings.

Eat right, hit legs, and long toss every 3 days. Throwing a football is also good for developing arm strength. I went from 5'5" to 6'1" between my freshman and sophomore years, but I also added about 30 lbs. Went from avg 65 top 69 to avg 81 top 85. Mechanics and mass were the most significant factors for velocity increase.

It’s crazy the kids being told good when the ball is outside the zone. I hope the kid keeps his arm fresh enough so somebody can teach him the art of pitching. What makes effective pitching? Dr Tom House “1. Location 2. Change of speeds 3. Late movement 6:40 ”. But those things don’t fill the gym $$$

Yep, gotta throw 95 before you can pitch at 95. Blake was only in-house for a few days, so that's the only pen he specifically threw. "sitting"? What does that mean? He cannot control anything he is throwing and has no idea where they will end up is this some new sport where you battle against the radar gun instead of needing to throw strikes? Seems you should focus on the control first and then the speed can come later he is totally out of control here
@harborwolf22

Lol He's a high school junior and they're trying to get him to throw as hard as he can. Do you actually not know what 'sitting' means? It means he's around that speed with all the pitches he's trying to throw hard. Relax.
@henrybenjaminstoneking238
@henrybenjaminstoneking238 2 месяца назад
@@harborwolf22 no, they are trying to ruin his talent by changing his arm angle to sidearm instead of a downward plane which is harder to hit it is silliness and you know it it is also a waste of life and he will soon be getting Tommy john surgery like all the new slingers get if you want to be a pitcher, which is a waste of life... you will want a downward plane and downward movement AND LOCATION and EASE OF MOVEMENT and change of speeds this is the art of pitching not battling a radar gun this is not any sport I know of and those who use LOL are in need of taking their lives up a level instead of taking the things little girls use as their own
